Thanks for the reply. I have the splined MIP's on mine and thats I thought yours was at first but then I noticed that retaining ring and the square shaft.

Hey! I think I didn't get the part when you talk about putting away the lever on your truck... Anyway, at the time of this video, I had the servo on a 3rd channel but the transmitter had no end points... now I have a better radio with end points and it's so much better for the servo..!!

I ordered an AX2 already, waiting for shipping. Can't wait :D

It is made by Junfac. Best drive shaft in my opinion, good looking and heavy duty!

(2nd part of the message...) I use tin to reduce the neutral space. it is difficult to explain but if you know how the trans is made, it is easier to understand... You just have to melt some tin in the holes of the gear wheel, so the teeth of the other wheel that changes gear have less space to move clockwise or counterclockwise. Now I have almost no neutral zone in 2nd gear, and very little (like the stock axial trans) in 1st gear!! now I'm very happy! the process is quite simple!
sorry dude, I respect you idea but this is a fantastic upgrade. now i have a reeeeeally slow 1st gear but still fast like a weak scale motor at full throttle, and a second gear that makes it fast as hell (16km/h on my treadmill, and it had still unused power). I know 16 or more km/h is useless on this kind of RCs but this 2 speed transmission gave this model a fantastic min/max speed. And remember, RC is fun, and now I can have more fun than before!

hi! yes it's a fan over the servo, but I was just doing some experiments. that servo got hot a few times, but it was my fault... I wasn't good in programming my transmitter... now I know a few things more about my tx and the servo do not get hot anymore!

Hi! it is almost two years now! I'm happy with this transmission and I'm thinking about buying another one for my wraith!! the only thing that could be done better by rc4wd is, this two speed trans has a quite big neutral zone, of about 1/5 wheel round in 1st gear and 1/8 wheel round in 2nd gear, and it was quite disappointing when you need precision, and the car go back or forth a few centimeters. one month ago I decided to open it and see what can be done about that. (txt space over)

Should be slightly rolling when shifting, it's hard on the socket gear corners.
@jamesdistefanis218311 жыл бұрын
Oh, I was just throwing an idea out there. Instead of a servo switching the trans how about a mechanical lever that you can reach outside the body and operate to switch the trans, that's all. I'm still on the fence on how I want to do it. Nice truck, peace.
@balir3111 жыл бұрын
ok! now i get that! but I think the switch on the transmitter worth the money you spend for a servo... switching on the run is very useful!!
@jamesdistefanis218311 жыл бұрын
Very nice. I looking at doing this on my SCX10 too. BUT, do you/we really need a servo and 3 channel transmitter to switch it in and out of low/high?! I'm thinking of putting a out of the way lever on my truck. Its never far from you and it would save roughly $150.00 in extras rather than doing it on the transmitter. I can afford it BUT, thats allot of money just to move that switch! :-)
@eaxebxecxedx11 жыл бұрын
Is the transmission a direct fit to the scx10? If not, what mods did you do? TIA! :D

Hello, fist of all-nice video.I would like to ask you what turns brushed motor should i use on this tranny.I've been thinking about getting a summit transmission but it seems very big.Keep in mynd that i am going to be mounting the transmission on a scaler so i want it to go slow and smooth.While i can still punch it up trough the 2-nd speed.
@crazyashell38911 жыл бұрын
hey so looks like you have had it for a while any problems with the gears and stuff
@balir3112 жыл бұрын
Hi! I'm sorry but i can't tell you what you need... I have not much experience in rc cars and on this honcho I always kept this robitronic 2100kv. But i can tell you this transmission is great because it gives you a very short 1st gear and a reasonably fast 2nd gear (I didn't calculate the top speed, but I think it's between 12 and 14 mph with a minimum tire speed of about 1round every 5 seconds!!!!)
@deriksowlcowski983411 жыл бұрын
awsome is it faster than the stock axial transmission in high gear
@balir3111 жыл бұрын
yes it is!
@callumkingunderwood10 жыл бұрын
This transmission is 5.05:1 in low gear and 1.78:1 in high gear. The stock axial is 2.6:1. So in low gear you have roughly half the speed but double the torque of the stock transmission and in high gear you have less torque but a bit more speed than the stock transmission. Seems a pretty decent upgrade to me.

Just broke the meat output shaft on mine only ran it 4 or 5 time over that that it's a wicked transmission just don't run it on brushless on 3s and you should not brake any think like I did
@balir3110 жыл бұрын
it is almost two years I'm using it and I only use 2100kv brushless motor on 3s, with 115mm tires, bashing it all the time... I'm using junfact carbon shafts, the plastic ones were gone long before I bouth this transmission...!!
