Great video! Thanks for the time spent. Very helpful! One key thing, as you noted, is to loosen the transmission so the transfercase can be aligned correctly.

What exact drive shafts are you currently using? Trying to look for new drive lines to add with my A&M garage skid plate and t-case mount. Thanks in advanced
@axletwisterrc45263 жыл бұрын
I am personally running a driveshaft set from Supershafty specifically designed for the A&M Garage Skid. I can confirm with you the Vanquish driveshaft set for the Axial 10.2 is also a good fit. Honestly the boom Racing Badass driveshafts are some of my favorite. I like the above mentioned drivshafts because of durability and small diameter to clear components. As a fall back option Axial HD Wild Boars are also great. They just have a slightly larger diameter. With any of the driveshafts except the Supershafty ones you will most likely need to take a mm or 2 off each output of the t-case. The stock shaft length of the tcase is to long and will cause a bind on the shafts. I also use a Boom Racing Badass shaft as my intermediate shaft. I just cut it to length.

Would the RC4WD over/under transfer case be good to add to adjust various overdrive configurations?
@axletwisterrc45264 жыл бұрын
The RC4WD transfer case with changeable overdrive is unfortunately to big to use with the current A&M Skid/tcase mount.

Great comprehensive video! Will you please share a list of all the A&M parts installed on this truck? Getting my first Rc4wd truck this weekend, super excited. Also what drive shafts are those?
@axletwisterrc452617 күн бұрын
Sorry for the delayed response. The driveshafts on this particular truck would be the Vanquish Incision 10.2 driveshaft set. This truck had an A&M front bumper with shackle reversal kit incorporated. The skid plate is the high clearance A&M Garage metal skid and an anti wrap bar.
@GeorgieBud202016 күн бұрын
@@axletwisterrc4526 No worries about the delay. I really appreciate you sharing your parts list. My order from A&M is the same as yours; the front bumper +4 reversal, skid, sliders, and an awb. How highly do you recommend the driveshaft? I was thinking of going with the cut-to-fit driveshaft from Amazon. Thank you.

Is the anti wrap really worth doing? Seen something like it on full scale leaf sprung rigs so tempted to add this to my A&M order
@axletwisterrc45262 жыл бұрын
100% yes! The anti wrap is without question a must. It will save you money in the long run without question. Check out the 4min video below and you can see it work real time before and after. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZyxe41qqq-Efac

@@axletwisterrc4526 got all the A&M goodies on my Marlin and been running it a few months with the RTR bits and finally smoked the motor this weekend. You mentioned in here and i've heard it before most motors and electronics don't like the amount of OD. DO you know a recommended motor/esc combo when running this set up? Going to clock the motor when i swap it so will be installing a spare Holmes sport 10t and HW 1080 i have to get it back up and running for now. Just looking for what to save for next, thanks again!
@axletwisterrc45262 жыл бұрын
Hello Andrew, My best advice if you want to run the aggressive overdrive is to invest in brushless. A Mamba X with a Holmes Puller Pro motor would be ideal.

@@axletwisterrc4526 I’ve got a spare crawlmaster 550 10t and hobby wing 1080. Gonna start with these to get the rig running while I save for upgraded electronics. Don’t have any spare brushless bits so will add when I can swing it, thanks.

@@axletwisterrc4526 any opinion on the HW Fusion pro 2300? slight consideration for it, but leaning towards a Copperhead with a standard Puller Pro V2 2200. The Ten Shooter is tempting but for the cost it got me leaning towards the Fusion pro.

I just got a new TF2 Midnight Edition...My transfer case is stock, but I noticed I can flip the whole case upside down and have the intermediate shaft come out and going straight out to the rear driveshaft, and the front driveshaft is coming out the same side as the intermediate shaft. And the mounting holes are pointing up. Do you think I can get the A&M mount and it'll fit okay? I want the transfer case to be more realistic since in real life this is how the shafts are lined up.
@axletwisterrc45262 жыл бұрын
By flipping the case and having it the way you are talking this will work with the A&M Garage metal skid/transfer case kit. However and let me caution you on this it will put the truck in a heavy overdrive configuration that most likely your motor and esc will not like. It will create alot of heat.
@NARFALICIOUS2 жыл бұрын
@@axletwisterrc4526 I didn't have to move any of the shaft/gears around, just flip the housing upside down, so it shouldn't be overdriven, should it? all 3 still spin at the same speed.
@axletwisterrc45262 жыл бұрын
As soon as you put the intermediate shaft on the same side as the rear you will have overdrive on the original shaft that use to be where the intermediate shaft was. This happens because the original shaft (single output) served as the transmission input and the tcase used gear reduction to turn the double output shaft slower. If you look in the t-case in my video you will see the gears are not the same size. Anytime the gears get larger or smaller even by a tooth or 2 a gear ratio change is happening. When all the gears are the same size no gear ratio change has occurred. As soon as the intermediate shaft goes on this particular tcase to the double shaft side whatever you put on the single output side will be overdrive.
