All I could do after the closer quad break is laugh because of how insanely clean it was.

I worked for RCC's Arts Department for a few years. I would go down to our storage units to put stuff away. The drummers were ALWAYS practicing down there. I marveled at their dedication to their craft.

@@DebbieWolgemuth makes sense to me! When an activity, arts, and high standards become part of the culture - thats when you start to win.

Andrew Verdusco was the other quad guy. He march devs with nick and Scott as well. Among the original La Quinta high school quads (taught by Jeremey Somers). You should look up that show. I think it was 2008. WILD highschool quad playing for that era. - I’m a door

I’ve seen that La Quinta line. It’s so hilariously good.

The high school I’m teaching we are going barefoot this season and honestly it’s improved their marching so much which was wild.

I remember transcribing the snare break on SnareScience years ago. Still one of my favorite WGI snare breaks

This was definitely an awesome show with a stacked drumline all around. You guys should check out MCM 2001, now that drumline was stacked with drummers from various corps like Cadets, Cavies, Phantom, etc. If you want to get hyped up even more for indoor, check out MCM 01.

as a Quad drummer (during this era) - this quad book has some of the best drum voicings of all time in the arounds so many quad arounds feel visual-first, this was one of the top examples of hearing the melody in the arounds. I saw heaven the 1st time I heard the front/quad interaction on the 1st Quad break

You should check out North Coast Academy 2012. It's a super in-your-face type show, just straight crazy battery beats.

Yes. They tied with BK with the 2nd most titles that year.

Blue Knights. They won WGI in 1994, 1999, 2000, and 2003. RCC got 4th win in 2012. Thus tieing with BK for the 2nd most titles in WGI history.
