Much more than 30 mouths in the tank. There has to be closer to 30,000 mouths in the tank depending on what you count.

Hi Marc. Quick question from another reef diary: why did you say you had had enough of rimless tanks & prefer the eurobrace?
@melevsreef3 жыл бұрын
I don’t like how water sloshes over the side when I clean the glass, or have snails climb up and out leaving drip runs down the outside; nowhere to put something down temporarily; overflow box taking up too much space, and more.

Where did you get the barnacle structure on the stand behind you? Thanks a lot!!1

That was a gift from Caitlin. We saw them in a shop one day, and she scoured Google to locate them again. They weren’t cheap though.

Have you used the nitrifying bacteria, or the beneficial substrate products before? I'm noticing the start of dusting of the sanded with the potential being Dinos and I was wondering doing those two (in addition to the bioptic and the biodigest, could help add good bacteria to the sand bed. thoughts?

It’s been a good fish. Maybe my heavy feeding helps avoid issues.

I would assume that fishes get bored of foods over time, just like any animal does, there will always be favrit foods but it they get it regularly enough it would be less exciting for them 🤷♂️😊 thanks mr Melev! U a good boy 🐶🥰

I dunno about fish. But my husky started refusing to eat about two years ago because she was bored of her food. We tried to get her to cave but she was more willing to hunger strike than we were willing to let her. So for awhile we got away with sprinkling some Parmesan on her food. That worked for about a year before she caught on. We’d feed her and then she would look down at her food and then back up at us like “that’s it? You know what I want. Get to it”. And she would stare at us until we caved. Now she gets fresh raw beef dog food mixed in. Who knows how long this one will last……

I have a female bangaii cardinal (about a year old) that seemingly won't eat anything, rods food, new life spectrum (pellets) , reef chili, benereef, pe mysis, or frozen brine. The older male eats fine (just about anything) no agrressive behavior towards each other, they get along great. And there's no competition for food aside from 2 small green chromis. But they don't bother anyone. Obviously I've considered live food. But I've never had a bangaii not eat frozen or dry food at that age (these are tank bred and captive raised from different family) any suggestions anyone? Also no they are not breeding.
@ericsfishingadventures44333 жыл бұрын
I also must mention I'm not concerned about them breeding. They are definitely male and female (as I've bred them before with little success but I know the difference between sexes) they seem perfectly healthy. The female just isn't eating.

She must be eating something to stay alive. Wonder what that could be. Nori?
@ericsfishingadventures44333 жыл бұрын
@@melevsreef I'm assuming it's something. Rods food original blend contains just about everything. And she is not emaciated. Just not plump and full like I like the cardinals to be. I don't know after 16 years of reef keeping I've seen a lot of of crazy things, I was just throwing a question out there? Just to see if anyone else had similar problems?
