I hope Beretta appreciates what you have done for this platform

As a recent Beretta 92 owner/shooter (coming from 1911s), I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the library of knowledge you have posted on this series of pistols! Thanks for another great video!

WOW! Thats a Big innovation for the 92. The 92 has come a long way since the 1980s thanks you Ernest. I have always loved the locking block design because the barrel doesn't tilt at an odd angle when cycling. To me that just makes muzzle rise ever worse. I got my first 92FS back in 1996 on my 21th birthday and have been buying 92s ever since. Today I still don't have a plastic striker fire pistol. I may have flirted with other designs like 1911s but the 92 has alway been the center of defense for me and my family. With the 92 RMR capability it will even the playing field with all the millions of Glock Suckers out there.

How about some Hotrod parts for the 80 series. Like, Skeleton Hammer, Extended Mag Button, Threaded Barrel, Aluminum Grips, Higher Cap Mags, Comp Trigger and Trigger Bar. With the new surplus for 81s there could be a market for them. I have three 81BBs add would like Langdon Elite parts for them like I have on my 92 pistols. I also read on the Beretta forum that you can change calibers from 32 to 380 with just a barrel and a mag. With the blowback design of the 80 series I wonder if a 32NAA barrel would possible? I love the size of the 81 for CCW. If Beretta could make the 80 series in the U.S. to bring down cost and chamber it in 32NAA I think the 80 series could be very strong in the CCW market. Imagine an 80 ELITE or an 80 X.

I hope you are investigating also how to improve magazine reliability... Last Saturday I had in my hands for the first time a 92x centurion and I felt in love with that great gun. My only complain was about the finishing and the incredibly cheap plastic mag plate.
@LangdonTactical4 жыл бұрын
I don't think you would have the same issue that we had. The plastic plate that you have has metal inserts in it, ours was a MecGar plate. We chose it because it held 18 rounds and the standard magazine for the Elite LTT. I have never had this issue with the MecGar magazine before or since, but I have also never dropped the gun from 6 feet onto concrete with a fully loaded magazine.

How many rounds would you estimate that frame has seen?
@LangdonTactical4 жыл бұрын
Very hard to say somewhere between 60 and 80 thousand. The frame was used in another drop test as well. We changed all the other parts, but let the frame be the sacrificial part.

If safariland will make an rmr/wml duty holster for this I will send my 92 in in a fucking heartbeat
@LangdonTactical4 жыл бұрын
I would love them to do that, but it is not likely. They are all about volume, so unless a fairly large police department decides to approve this configuration for a department-wide issue duty gun, it will likely not happen.

Ernest Langdon hey never say never! The world is a strange place. I wonder if I could find someone to make one in kydex for a level 2
@chillios22224 жыл бұрын
@@LangdonTactical I was issued this weapon as my duty piece and had difficulty finding the right holsters or different holsters for it, we were issued the Safariland and it fit both the issue Beretta M9 with the rail and without the rail. We did not have the light mounted but on duty at night we wanted to go with the light/laser. Great safe weapon for duty carry and had not changed over to the Sig Model.

Yeah, dropping a fully loaded magazine in the gun is hard on everything, especially when it lands on the floor plate.
