I did everything exactly like you and got it to glitch at the first try. June 4th, 2024 This still works. I followed the way you escaped, and when the law stopped searching for me the first time, i whistled for my horse, and then they started hunting me again. (I got a $15.00 bounty.) John was following me on foot the whole time, and he climbed onto my horse. After the law stopped chasing me, the glitch worked, and i didnt get a yellow path or dot on the map. Just the same text, "Escape the law" or something like that. After that, i took John back to his horse, and he got on it, and i took the route you took back to Brontes mansion. Once i was at the area where John goes by himself to the mansion, i waited for him to dismount his horse, and i proceeded to New Austin as Arthur. (It helps if you have the subtitles on to know when to leave John and head for New Austin) It worked like a charm. I grabbed Otis Millers revolver, tamed a Tiger Striped Mustang, found the Turtle Shell trinket, and completed the Elemental Trail Map. (It may take a while for Tiger Striped Mustangs to spawn, but just keep at it...) The only problem is simply that its dark and foggy the whole ride, so just put on some music and do what you want to do in New Austin. (Seeing New Austin in the dark and foggy gives me Undead Nightmare vibes...)

Seconded! It worked perfectly, was able to get the mustang, some condor festhers, some perfect gila monster skin, got all 3 legendary fish and the gold revolver. However, you cannot pick up plants or hunt legendary animals unfortunately.

Did you replay the mission or did you do it while in chapter 4?

@@jessestormeh9941 It has to be your first time playing the mission during a playthrough. If you're replaying the mission, it won't work. If you mess up during your first time playing the mission in story mode, fail the mission and replay the mission.

I like the songs you picked: D'Angelo - Unshaken and Rhiannon Giddens - Mountain Hymn. It looks like the glitch leaves the time of day stuck at night... Its like a dream Arthur has of the past and with the dialog it fits into the story surprisingly well for being a glitch. Nice Work!

Hey guys, it's March 23rd, 2024 and this glitch still works like a charm Some notes for you fellas: 1. You cannot replay the mission, but if you somehow fail to trigger the glitch, be sure to RESTART THE WHOLE MISSION, not the CHECKPOINT 2. You don't need to have the yellow indicator removed for this glitch to work, but it sure is a safe harbor tho 3. You cannot use camp or tell the time, but the post office still works, so get all the fishes you can and mail them Good hunting cowboys!

unfortunately no, herbs don't spawn during missions. but you can get them using the buggy method, it's quite easy

Save the game before bronte mission then Uninstall the game then turn your Internet connection off. Reinstall the game with no Internet and there will be no patch. As far as I know it only works if you have the disc.

I’m not sure why you wouldn’t be able to get the herbs. I’m about to do this later on tonight so I’ll let you know unless you’ve already tried it I need to get them for herbalist 9 so I can get legend of the east outfit for Arthur. Only challenge remaining

How come your map does not show The Bronte Destination? You're using mods ?_? I tried this and while I was in Auto Mode, my horse turned around and took me back to The Bronte Destination. Anyone else managed to do this and did not encountered the Invisible Sniper? Another BS video //

I play on xbox, I don't use any mods.The indicator disappearing is part of the glitch

The exploit works, the indicator will sometimes appear and sometimes it won't, also, i noticed that if you do not get a bounty the exploit won't work and the sniper will kill "ya", plus, while doing this exploit you can't use the "automode" because the main mission marker (gold mark) will always take priority over player marker (red mark). Also, the sniper does spawn he just can't hit you, you can actually hear it shooting all the time you spend over in new austin. It has to say escape the law after the second time you get spotted by them outside of the graveyard otherwise you'll have to load up to the last save(i saved it right before starting the mission)
