These two cuties were getting floppy and icky so it was time for a wash and new stuffing! Hope you enjoy this little process video :)

wonderful re-chonking OP, but may I suggest when the time comes to again, to instead hand-wash your shark? Washing machines can be very rough on plushies, and can wear down or damage the weaker seams, and make your plush overall less soft. Try using hand soap or a small amount of liquid detergent in a tub of water and let your sharkyboy sit for a while to draw in all that clean goodness. Then rinse and dry, and voilá!

Yes this is top surgery, usually done by shark surgeons but some people get training to do it.

Thanks to you I‘ve realized that I needed Blahaj in my live, so I looked him up, realizing that he has been discontinued. My gf and I drove to IKEA anyway when we found one laying on top of the „kids world“ entrance. I suppose they forgot to remove him when they stopped selling the 100cm variant. We ended up grabbing him and taking our new friend to the pay-area without saying a word to the cash register person. Blahaj now lives in my room and is fed 4 times a day :3

me loves blåhaj, bought 2 blåha's yesterday, I love it, its so squishy, I sleep with it and hold it around me, I love blåhaj omg its so AAAA, and I play with its teeth flickering it back and forth, and I put my cheek next to its eye while I stare at it and inhales with my nose because its new and smells so good. I love grabbing the fins. I put my leg over its tail and have its big chunky torso inbetween my chest while I hug it in bed, whenever I feel anxiety or have panick episodes I remember that I have a blåhaj on my bed, I absolutely love this stuffed toy.

Sometimes when I’m customizing stuffed animals, I like to give them little stuffing transplants like this. I also tend to mix the stuffing with the extra stuffing before adding it back, because it reduces lumps and you can also keep the excess if you make too much. (This video also made me want to buy a blåhaj lol)

if you want to build some confidence in sewing so you can try something like this: get a sewing needle and some thread, then practice sewing things together on old clothing and scrap bits of fabric. the Ladder Stitch, specifically, is super easy to learn and works PERFECTLY for sewing seams back up on plushies like these! (and if worst comes to worst, so long as you're careful when cutting the seam on your blahaj to only snip the thread and not the fabric, you'll still have the fabric! so you can try again as many times as you need)
