If cordyceps got into flour, if everyone was grinding their own flour (which would be impossible with current populations), it could still get into what you ground yourself. It just means world wide spread would take a bit longer. It would still happen. Exponential growth is scary. 1-2-4-8-16 doesn't seem like much then you start hitting 32 - 64 - 128 - 256 - 412 -824 - 1648. That is just 11 propagations.

I know people love to correct viewers about the infected not being zombies. To me the most important difference is they're still alive, not undead zombies. That means when you kill an infected, they stay dead. And of course the tragedy of knowing there may still be a conscious individual inside with no control of their body. But from a world view, dead stays dead is the big difference.

Glad to see you return to the series. this is a big departure from the game in ep 3, in the game bill is alone because frank is dead from suicide. Their relationship is only hinted at in the game, Bill is real cranky and sarcastic...he argues a lot with ellie in the game. the sink hole was moving from something underneath. the right hand man of kathlene is the voice actor and mo-cap actor that played tommy in the video game.

In the game Bill is alone but not because of Frank's suicide - it's because Frank left him. Bill doesn't know Frank is dead until he finds his body. He's rewritten their break-up in his mind so that when he tells Joel about it he says that he was the one that broke up with Frank, but you find out the truth when you find Frank's suicide note.

So all the great action scenes in Bill's town and Bill as a great character are replaced by a woke gay love story and Bill is reduced to a mere token? The video game gift wrapped the whole story for Hollywood and somehow they still managed to muck it up!
