The guy on the chorus is "No Malice" formerly known as "Malice" He was a secular rapper that was pretty popular in a group called Clipse. He converted to Christianity recently and left the secular scene.

This song isn't about drugs and girls, it's about how he used to be, and how God changed him around and how now his life is so different than before, and its both Lecrae and Tedashii singing about how God has changed them. Its not glorifying them, its glorifying how God has freed them from all that.

Lecrae isn't just talking about his own testimony here. He's challenging the ghetto culture, the lifestyle. You might say the video is dark. But sin and its' wages are dark. That's what Lecrae is portraying here.

No matter what type.of Christian Singers there are whether its Toby Mac, skillet, Lecrae, or any other artists. They all got one goal: to, spread the word about God through music. God gives us gifts. Its evident that Lecraes gift is music. Through music they're telling what he's done for us and what he can do for everyone else that will follow him.

I work in teen ministry and most Christians would be shocked how many teens don't know Christ Jesus. But I use Lecrae's music to show that Christ accepts us where we are. Jesus is for everyone. Sometimes we can be so heavenly minded we are no earthly good. Jesus charged us to go into ALL the world and preach the gospel not just the church! Praise the Lord he saved Lecrae's soul and made gave him a heart to reach the lost. God Bless you Lecrae!

Every part of life should be to glorify God. It's not lecrae's fault that wicked men have used hip hop for evil. Lecrae is using hip hop for good, he's using it to glorify God, just as the Bible commands.

Everybody has something to say, bruh JESUS didn't walk around trying to say hey you're evil and you're evil, He did call out spirits but it was done spiritually not through pure talk like yall do. Get off lecrae and go listen to something else if you don't like it. I just don't get why you even click on his videos when ya know you're just gonna spread satanic spirits out. Lecrae NEVER said that he was trying to make worship music but just music telling his story as King Davids story was told or even Job. It's a story yall and if you're not gonna stay til the end of it DONT TALK ABOUT THE MIDDLE OF IT. Yall say lecrae ain't leading anyone but through his music I've actually gotten closer to my JESUS however, yalls comments aren't leading anyone to anything. Just pray for him or move around 💯. Enjoy your blessings..!

"No Malice" who was" Malice" was a lost sheep now he is found. John 10:15-16 [15]Even as [truly as] the Father knows Me and I also know the Father-and I am giving My [very own] life and laying it down on behalf of the sheep. [16]And I have other sheep [beside these] that are not of this fold. I must bring and impel those also; and they will listen to My voice and heed My call, and so there will be [they will become] one flock under one Shepherd. [Ezek. 34:23.]

To all those blasting Lecrae for having a "secular" sound don't forget where he came from. God has blessed him. In order to reach people lost in the world sometimes you have to go into it. How can one judge a mans belief based upon the sound of his music? You're no better than a Pharisee.

Anything that opens your mines eye to the tricks of satan is worthy to be listened to. I am 60 years old, saying a lot did a lot don't claim braggin rights; but we have to be open to what is coming to the generations now , and later. I wasn't that crazy about the Christian music my parents listen to. and they weren't that crazy about the music I listen to, all it is is a different style we still all are trying to get to heaven.and if we're not cognizant of the tricks of the devil, then tell me how we can fight the good fight. God has already won. That doesn't mean we're not in the battle, we have to show up, we have to represent, and we have to be just exactly what he told us we needed to be on the battlefront. so if you don't like the song its okay you don't have to listen to it to realize that there are young men Christian men and women who only relating to this type of music for their fight is the one that's bring brought. what you have to do is take the time to get out of the music and listen to the words. Every thing is different, every generation fights with the tools that up before then. I take the time to listen to what my children are listening to. I take the time to listen to what my grandchildren are listening to; and I take the time to see what's going on in the world and what they are listening to. We cannot use it as an excuse because God is not allowed us to do that. anyone in this comment section that is arguing about the lyrics, might want to take a late evening drive through the neighborhoods, we Christians should be winning the battle, but how can that happen when you're constantly putting down the new music. is not right and its never been right to watch babies raise babies, its not right to see our men degrade women in front of their young sons and boys and nephews. I speak the truth always to be young people I encounter death is real, heaven is real, hell is real make a choice. then go out and fight for what you believe in. the problem is religion were so busy fighting against each and every different religion that we can't come together as one and realize that God is God. Jesus was sent to us because of the things we needed, the Holy Spirit was left with us to give us a conscience, so stop playing the game of your right I'm right he's right he's wrong pick up the book off instructions and read it again. Like I said we win. `Remember my people perish for LACK of knowledge'.

Been there, bro, many of us have (and still are). I've heard testimonies from many Christian rappers and guys like Papa San, and I believe they'd all tell you the most important thing is get right with God, first and foremost. Your calling in God, whether it's rapping or whatever it (they) may be, is just a reflection of the commitment you've already made in your heart to Christ. Strive to be a man that God is pleased with first, feel me? God makes all things new, praying for you, bro.

I can't believe there's a bunch of Christians fighting about this. How does it look to the unbeliever when they see christs body fighting amongst itself. We are to judge, but only to other God fearing believers that's the whole build each other up deal. And we're to do it with gentleness, love, compassion and respect just like how we're suppose to treat unbelievers.

I agree. No one should just be throwing around phrases like "It's obvious that this wasn't inspired by the Holy Spirit". You better be sure you know this as a fact. The Bible says there are severe reprocussions for making claims like this if they arent true. Fast, pray, seek God continually. If after all that the Lord is showing that it is the case regardless of your personal feelings, then it is a better indication. As for me, this rocks and I cant wait to see what God does through this!

This song is dangerous. Because this is the type of crossover sounding song that will have "traditional Christians" up in arms, while Young Christians ( or those who may be on the borderline of making Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior ) might gravitate to this song. I'm thrilled Lecrae is working with artists like No Malice and Big K.R.I.T.; he's trying to reach new people. He shouldn't remain in the isolated box "Christian" Hip-Hop creates. This message needs to be heard by everybody, and this is how it's going to be done. So you can join him if you want to see God glorified or back out if you think associating with unbelievers is a wrong move. Either way, Jesus will be exalted.

"Lucky Ones" is IMO his best slowish song. And to everyone who is hating on Lecrae for this: may I ask why? Just look at the lyrics! He's talking about his past life, and how he asked God for forgiveness, and the last verse talks about his life on his 180(which means he follow God FYI).

I can just sense the dedication in Lecrae's voice when he says "Til my heart stop pumpin"

Lecrae is just going more mainstream. I mean the music is sounding more secular, but the message is still very good! It's good that many not Christians hear this! His album is at nr. 2 on iTunes of all albums. That's what this new style is leading to. Spreading the news to people who can't proclaim "Jesus is King".
