I really think the whole episode was also Thomas' way of letting Virgil know that he may see him differently now but they're still friends in his eyes. It was genuinely really sweet.

Haley Does Stuff So glad that you pointed that out!!! Because I had this feeling, that whole problem they are dealing with in this episode is very similar to what is going on between Thomas and Virgil and when Virgil has that overspeed monolog it looked very much like his own perspectiv instead of the perspective of Thomas´s friend. It could have been subconscious reaction.!! :)
