When Gabriel gets going on a song, at some points he gets a half beat ahead of the track or rushes the song. That's why you think your hearing two different songs in the middle section of this song. He's such a phenomal vocalist our brain is listening to his voice not the rhythm or tempo. I can just hear Jennifer Hudson saying "take your time baby" lol Love everything Gabriel does! What is this voice , amazing. Celine Dion first language is French , not english and she recorded her first album in english in 1990 and she did not understand what she was saying in english, In 1990 Dion released her first English-language album, Unison, and the romantic ballad “Where Does My Heart Beat Now” became her first top-10 single in the United States. Gabriel is learning english quickly and will have a better accent soon, like Celine Dion did and became a pop Diva.

This is only one song. The change in tempo is exactly the way the song was written. Sometimes, when I'm having trouble understanding someone with an accent, I turn on the subtitles, even though English is being spoken. Hope that helps.

I understand what you are saying about the mid section. When you are switching your tongue and lips from Portuguese to English, it's easy to lose enunciation. For example...the last n on enunciation, our tongue ends at the roof of our mouth. In Portuguese, the n kinda gets dropped. My friend's name, Jean is pronounced J oue. Challenging to switch. But he is much improved. On "I am telling you" the m was pronounced. And the T was clear with no hint of the Portuguese ch sound. Anyway...great song, singer and reaction.

Spot on Nancy, and the "n" and "m" at the end of the words in english will be pronounced practically the same way by a brazilian speaker. Our phonetic and speaking rhythm is so different from the english one, which turns into an actual ordeal speak some sentences, specially the wordy ones. Shout out, we love you.
