That photo of the two models showing the back of their thighs, I've seen that over the years and it lives rent free in my head as a reminder that I "could have no cellulite like them if I just tried hard enough". You've just broken that spell... And the overhang comment. I'm recovering from ED and am grappling with changes, the overhang comment was something I didn't know I needed to hear. Thank you :)

I'm so very happy that you've found this "niche". You're, literally, the only person on YT who makes vids dedicated to uncovering the ridiculously harmful lies being portrayed in the media. Love your guts 💗💗💗💗💗💗 PS : I hope the bigwigs of YT don't remove this vid - it's so more than just a vid, it's a very essential vid. You mean every single woman AND every single man NEED to watch this. Many men have this idea that they must be perfect even if they are natural slim, they think they must be spotless while men can be anything or have dads body and some women support and enforce the idea that it is better than a muscular. People can have preferences but a healthy and normal body with imperfections is how we should tell everyone that is natural. Society is trying to assimilate drawings and art with the human body. If plastic surgery and the risk of going g thru that would be minimal or non existence, I would understand it, but our technology is not even there but this idea is being pushed so those in the top can gain money
@Aster_Risk
@Aster_Risk 2 жыл бұрын
@@timeless9820 The channel mainly looks at women since wrinkles, cellulite, hair and skin texture are forbidden from being shown on real women's bodies in most media. There are many examples of men being allowed to have wrinkles, hair, skin texture and scars because it's seen as attractive. Men are allowed to be rugged and harsh in appearance. These videos aren't going to have the same effect on men or masculine people, which would be why this person said some men.

This whole series should be standard curriculum for young adults growing into their bodies! I cannot imagine how much happier I would have been as a young girl getting used to my body and learning my sense of self, if videos like this were around! You're doing amazing and Vital work with these videos, I hope you know that!

You and James Welsh are like the perfect duo for a personal image therapy. Like you both showing real yet beautiful bodies and skins that are modified to an extent that is unrealistic and not human but make us think that it’s normal to be like that and that is how people should be even though it is completely impossible is gold to self esteem. Like self esteem boost for me, every time.

the models also don't eat/drink much at all days or even a week before the vs show, and before photo shoots as well, so they look thinner/more toned but they are actually a bit dehydrated

OMG these make me feel so much better. After having my son I am back to my normal weight but still have loose skin on my stomach. Because of your videos I have cared less about what I look like and accept my body. I will actually be wearing shorts during summer this year instead of wearing pants because I'm self conscious. Thank you Stephanie

As a teen constantly body shamed by everyone you always make my day when you post.THAANK YOU SO MUCH !! People and woman especially need to understand that these beauty standards from the start are set by rich white powerful men. Like VS Models ,the barbie doll or etc are all created or have been heavily influenced by men.We need to understand that we all are born beautiful just in a heavily judgemental society.Thanks Stephanie you really helped me with my body image issues ever since I started watching your videos it’s like someone put a mirror to my face. Love from Asia❤️❤️

Hey, Stephanie! Thank you for making this channel!! I tend to have a lot of negative self talk- especially bc I have recently recovered from orthorexia/anorexia- so these videos have really helped me to work on my confidence. I have always felt like I naturally have a more muscular frame than a lot of girls- with a larger rib cage and bone structure. Seeing that even VS models look this way, though, makes me feel so much better. I am not comparing in any negative way- quite the opposite! I appreciate how this channel uplifts women’s bodies for looking healthy and natural. :) Please make a part two to this video!

No longer being a size 2 because I'm in my mid 40's and it's normal for our bodies to change I've learned not to be so hard on myself while still doing my best to take care of myself and reach a middle ground. The work you are doing is so important especially for little girls who are constantly exposed to the lies of social media, don't stop what you are doing you are amazing 😉

Thank you so much for this video! I really needed to see this. I genuinely felt a weight being lifted when I saw that these supermodels also have cellulite, and their tummies aren't always tiny. I'm already feeling better about myself. Thank you so much! You're amazing, Stephanie! x

What's so upsetting is that I never ever look at another human being and like them less because they have imperfections! And I'm sure I'm not the only person who feels this way. So why can't media be more honest, and therefore, more healthy for everyone?

I started watching your channel because I found the topics you cover to be really fascinating. But now I'm at the end of a weight loss journey (beginning a fitness one) and have been struggling with my body image due to the massive change (lost 80 lbs) combined with the saturation of falsified perfection found in the media and online communities. Videos like this help heal that mindset immensely. Thank you for what you do.

Thank you again❤️ helps a lot.

I truly cannot describe how helpful your videos have been for my perception of my body. I’ve realised my body is just trying to keep me alive- how could there be anything wrong with it for doing that? It doesn’t have to be perfect, it’s got organs working together to keep me alive and kicking! I look like a HUMAN WOMAN!

I used to be a life model for art classes and I did that for almost a decade and it really got me in touch with how real women's bodies looked and how beautiful we are. I spent my teens paranoid about having big boobs, long gangly legs and a very defined jaw, I felt like I stuck out like a sore thumb, but it turns out those exaggerated features are perfect for life modelling lol I love your videos they are so uplifting and inspirational thank you x

A little bit about me, i am recovered ED'd and all though i am in the recovery part of my journey, that doesn't mean i don't have intrusive thoughts. These videos really help me. They remind me that these thoughts are lying to me, that i am just a human and so are super models! It kind of feels like that reality check i need to stay on track bc its so easy to get caught up in the lies on instagram or where ever else on the internet and believe THAT is reality when it isn't! Thank you so much Stephanie for creating this series and for making these videos. Keep fighting the good fight bc you are helping so many people! 💕💕
