Can one or both of you touch on Wranglers rigid 13mwz jeans. They don't get any love, but I think they're still a very well made jean (still being made with US denim) and definitely an American staple. I'm curious what a pro like yourselves thinks of them.

As a jeans noob (if you put aside the fact that I've been wearing them for around 45 years, which is clearly irrelevant) I really enjoyed this. And I LOL'd on the FCUK boot cut comment - I've been saving a pair from around the time they discontinued them (2010?). Must be about time I started rocking them again... 🙂 What fascinates me most about this niche within our culture is that this level of geekery (and just in case that's misinterpreted, it's in no way a slur - I'm a software developer have been known as a geek for several decades) would never have developed until people were connected via the Internet. Subbed.
@CeeAreDee2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Graham. Appreciate it buddy. Geek is a fine way to put it. I think anyone with a passion for anything wouldn’t mind being labelled a geek in relation to whatever it might be. And you know what. Rock that bootcut if that’s what you’re into.

Matt that was great. The perfect symbiosis. P.s. watched your vid on the Levi’s 1944 501 Perfect Imperfections release before Christmas....they were gone off the Levi’s website within a day, but a few pairs re appeared there in mid-Jan! So managed to get a pair! Got #18 of 101. They have a one sided red tab, the painted arcuate is upside down. Pocket bags in denim fabric. The only really disappointing things is that there is absolutely no way of identifying the denim as being Cone white oak! Doesn’t say on any of the tags or even on the little letter your get in the back Pocket. So the only way I know is by virtue of the small hand written tags inside with the pair number #18 of 101, which links it back to the Perfect Imperfections release.
@CeeAreDee3 жыл бұрын
Nice. I'd love to see some pictures. I guess that Levi wants to keep it as repro as possible... Back in the day they would have no label with the cone mills... But it's such a good buy. Will be one of the last release with white oak

@@CeeAreDee I’ll upload some pics to Instagram over the coming days and send you a link. Yeah a nice purchase. Pricey, but it was the ‘last of a dying breed’ thing that made me click ‘order now’! How far from "raw" is Levi's shrink to fit and Wranglers Rigid 13mwz???
@CeeAreDee3 жыл бұрын
Before the shrink. Levi’s are 100% raw. Even after the shrink they are 99.99% raw. As for the Wranglers. Not too sure. I don’t think they have any 100% raw jeans in the lineup at the moment sadly.
@andrewc97903 жыл бұрын
@@CeeAreDeeI could be very wrong, but if Levi's are considered raw prior to shrink, I'd think Wranglers "rigid" is as well but it's sanforized. I've seen some pretty awesome fades from them. But, from old guys who don't care and just wear them to death. Thanks!
