I’d recommend checking out Leon Draisaitl highlights sometime, he’s McDavid right hand man who always ends the season top 6 in total points. If he was on a team that didn’t have McDavid he’d be talked about a lot more. Love the content as usual homie!

Top 6? More like 4, he hasn't been lower than 4th in points each season since 2018. He lead the league in 2019-20. Dude's an absolute beaut, and a fine piece of German engineering.

The best thing about going to a hockey game in person is you get to watch all the line changes. It's really not shown too much when watching it on TV/stream so it is hard to appreciate. That breakaway he had where he hopped on the ice, catching the D off-guard is an example of perfect timing. McDavid is really a joy to watch play. Even away from the puck. Same as Ovi, Crosby. It's just so crazy how Connor can go from skating slowly at the blue line to top speed in a few strides and cruising past defenders. His acceleration is insane. There's a saying in sports that the puck/ball always finds your star players. I think someone else mentioned this but you should react to best Tic-Tac-Toe passing plays.

For reasons you just witnessed we've been calling him McJesus here in Edmonton because we were bottom of the league for a long time until he came around. You saw the highlight there at 3:39, but you gotta search up ESPN's McDavid goal oilers versus rangers. It's a neat little video that gives you an idea of the energy that I felt watching that live and much of the city did because of how clutch it was. Also note when you slow it down how much McDavid is hooked and slashed. You just don't see it because of how fast he is.

I think the big improvement this season was seeing Connor on more defence. He had some trouble with Makar and the Avalanche but McDavid was too fast for Calgary. The Oilers got swept.

Edge work is the edges of the skate blade. Each 1/8” blade is hollow ground so you have 2 edges on each blade. Stick work is handling the puck.

You need to go to a playoff game in person. My home team is the hurricanes and I went to see them play my team in the first game of the series in 2021 and our arena is the loudest in all of sports. The energy that you felt from the crowd when the canes scored was surreal the stadium shook haha.

McDavid and Crosby the best at it, though I'd argue Crosby is better with it since he's a stockier build abd he plays a lot more on the boards and behind the net. Hard to make that argument as they're pretty different but both 2 of the GOAT. Many greats at it these days in the NHL, if you can't skate, you can't play.

His playoff run was insane this year. Carried Edmonton (who without him is very average) all the way to the conference finals. It’s much harder in hockey to carry a team all on your own than in basketball for example, but McJesus did it
