It is scary that a woman can abort the child or abandoned the child at a fire department and no legal repercussions but the man is on the hook for that baby for 18 to 21 years no matter what

Only 18? Wait till you find out what happens in India If you get a daughter (don't even have to be biologically yours, as long as you were married and can't prove to be away from you wife it's yours, in some instances even after proving inaccessibility you can be liable) you have to maintain her till the time she's married Yes, the minimum age being 18 and in case she don't want to marry then your whole lifetime, while also including marriage expenses 😐

Out of wedlock births should lead to adoption if the man does not want to raise the child and the mom cannot take care of the child solo. Forcing someone who does not want to be a dad to be there is probably not the best for the psyche of the child. Adoption would be a healthier alternative.

@@candyxoxo19 I agree 💯! The saddest part is that adoption is so difficult and expensive and most children just end up as wards of the state. I know how hard it is because I have known several couples that spent years trying to adopt a child, couples with great jobs, financial stability, nice homes, no criminal records, yet it took years to jump through all the hoops. One lady told me she honestly felt like the agencies were trying to get them to just give up. Of the 3 couples I know of, two finally got through all the bs and adopted children, the other gave up after 5 years and remain childless to this day.

If a pregnant woman gets in a car accident on the way to the abortion clinic and they both die due to a drunk driver, the driver is charged for two deaths but if she just misses out on getting into an accident and makes it to the clinic she can herself kill the baby...make it make sense!! Why does the law recognize human life in some situation but not in others?
@uoabigaillevey
@uoabigaillevey Жыл бұрын
It's about who can be punished.. and how much worse can they be punished. They would want to punish the driver for killing the mother.. but get to punish him 'again' by adding the unnecessary charge for the death of the unborn child. Taken another way.. until the child is actually aborted the mother might have chosen to alter her decision and not go through with the abortion. Either way it is about punishing the driver as much and harshly as they can. The doctor, on the other hand.. is just doing his job.

Not in Canada, Depending on how far along the pregnancy the woman is, the driver would only be responsible for the woman's death not the fetus. There was an occurrence of a pregnant woman being murdered in a shooting and someone in the Christian community tried to advocate for the fetus to be considered lawfully "murdered" and the women's group put a stop to that toute suite.

"My body, my choice" and "my paycheck, my choice" are the same argument. Men earn their paychecks through labor, which is their body being used against their will to support a child that they may not have wanted. If women can choose to end a pregnancy with no consequences because they dont want it to affect their body then men should be able to choose not to support a child because the labor required to do so would also affect theirs.

But once a woman terminates a pregnancy, there is nothing afterwards. It's a 'back to square one' situation. Is that just as true when a woman goes through labor and gives birth? Isn't there a dependent child involved (assuming she doesnt give it up for adoption)? Shared responsibility makes parenthood itself less of a burden - especially financially. Do we really need more 'deadbeat dads' then there are already?

I think the biggest problem starts with the fact that we always refer to the child as "her baby" rather than "their/our baby." The very language we use strips the man of his rights to be a father and be involved in the raising of the child, but while having none of the rights of parenthood our system shackles him with all the responsibility. No choice but full responsibility is wrong. Even worse, this language strips the child automatically of a relationship with his/her father. A child is not an object. A child should have a mother AND a father.

As a man, it’s truly painful to know that your first child is being terminated. My girlfriend revealed that she had an abortion with our first child. At first, I contemplated leaving her, but when I witnessed the pain she was going through from the medical abortion, I decided to stand by her side, be a better partner, and help her get back on her feet with love and support. I was there for her 24/7 because she was deeply depressed. She had initially thought that having an abortion was the right decision for her career, but now she regrets it. Ladies undergoing an abortion can have psychological and emotional consequences for both parents, as it's not a natural or easy decision. It's important for couples to communicate openly and consider alternatives, seeking support and professional guidance.

People, I figured this issue out a long time ago. The first problem with the issue is that the two sides are not arguing about the same thing. The conservative side wants to protect the life of the child. Yes, it is a child, albeit a developing one. The liberal side wants the women to have autonomy over her own body. Yes, she has that right. No person can be FORCED to do something to their own body without due process. Period, full stop. Now, that being said, we need to focus on what the two sides want to get out of the issue and how to compromise. It is very simple. The woman maintains the right to chose to have the fetus REMOVED from her body, but she does not have the right to intentionally kill it during the process. We have the medical technology to care for premature babies. A woman should have the right to have a fetus removed at any time, for whatever reason she chooses, but the medical staff must provide that fetus with the same level of health care as any other person receives. The fetus is a person and therefore has the same protections under the law as anyone else. We allow a mother to simply abandon their child at a fire station, police station, etc. so there is no reason why we cannot allow a woman to abandon her child during the pregnancy. If the child survives, then it becomes a ward of the state just like any other orphaned child. If it does not survive, then it was not meant to be. This process would meet the demands of both sides of the political issue while protecting the constitutional rights of the fetus. It would eliminate the hypocrisy inherent in both the pro-life and pro-choice groups.

One point brought up was men should have to start paying child support while the woman is pregnant. If that is the case then the money should go into an account until the baby is born and a dna test is done. That way if the guy is not the father he gets to keep the money and it is on the woman who lied to find the real father. DNA tests should be performed at birth by law before any man signs a birth certificate saying the child is his.

It took me a while to understand your comment. But I get it now. I think people who are not in the situation dont realize how easy it is to get out of paying child support. That is if you dont mind being somewhat of a loser, job wise. Many of these single parent homes start with young people who never to develop the self esteem to get a good education, and become productive citizens. Our culture has this kids having sex and getting pregnant before they are old enough to know there own potential. Luckily they are also not so hardened ny the world that abortion is their first choice. So they settle into there roles as single mom n baby dad and hope for the best.I was raised in a two parrnt family and went to college despite having a baby. My daughter had her child at about the same age as I had her. I got $17 of child support her whole life, until her dad died and I got $200 a month for the last year and a half till she turned 18. Her child is 17 and she has gotten a couple hundred dollars sporadically. My point is I think most women know they will have state funded medical and foodstamps and have to keep their income low enough to qualify because they'll never make enough money to pay for all that and child care and rent. This is why abortion is so popular.

I don't get why men don't get a say in the case of abortion. How did you get pregnant? It was with a man. Without that man, you aren't getting pregnant. It also doesn't make sense that they have to pay child support if they don't want the baby. It is also bs that if a man wanted a woman to get an abortion, he is seen and labeled a piece of shit, oh but if a woman wants to get an abortion it's her choice, she isn't a piece of shit. You have to support her decision. I'm sorry, a woman who wants to kill her baby is the lowest, most disgusting excuse for a human being. I think if the man wants to keep the baby and the woman doesn't, they should sign a contract that she gives up her parental rights and she is now a surrogate and should be paid like a surrogate. Once she has the baby, she is legally obligated to give the baby to the father. If the father doesn't want the baby, but the mother does, then he should sign a contract waving his parental rights and not have to pay child support.

And then the insurance just back dates the start time to right before the birth. Of course I also believe that child support, alimony and welfare need to go away, just like we need to get ride of no-fault divorce and make child custody automatically 50/50 or to the parent that can financially support the child. While we're at it, we should make prenups and dna tests mandatory.

Really, you may want to read your bible to see first hand what your god thinks of marriage. Lets hope your husband doesn't follow the bible's lesson for marriage - as that would be one very horrible marriage for you. People like you who have to praise your god and church and state every problem is due to people not believing and going to church are complete utter morons. As I said, I think you should read your bible - ALL OF IT - rather than let some priest cherry pick what he reads to you - as the bible has some fucked up things for marriage. For example - there is no such thing as marital rape, also a man can beat his wife for disobedience - that is only two issue stated - do you really want to hold the bible up for a guide to marriage? Shall we reset society back 1000 years in morals? All of the protection women have had in the las 100 years, has been from people WHO WALKED AWAY FROM THE CHURCH, you know atheist values and morals - not christian/god/church views of women being property(Which has been the norm for human history - only the last 100 years or so, has that changed). So I will ask you again, and think about what you are asking - Do you really want to hold your god/church and bible up as the example to hold too?

That's the real Ironic thing, at least it would be if most of us were smart enough to get the joke, If that isn't a baby and the abortion is aloud, then why should I give you child support, its just a "clump of cells" isn't it? And if it is a baby then you don't have a right to kill it, just like how there is no right to kill anyone or to deny anyone their life,liberty, and pursuit of happiness, all three of which are denied by an abortion.

@@EricSmyth4Christ Great reference 👍 Satan is hard at work to deceive people into what is right vs what is wrong, unfortunately many fall for the tricks. Not me. I'll admit I'm not well versed in the bible but I'm not the type to allow myself to be deceived by evil easily.

you probably mean 'ironic'. that doesnt invalidate any given position on either issue, tho. You could just as easily point out the so-called 'sanctity of life' argument used by conservatives against abortion, or them pointing out that we are 'playing god' by giving women abortion access. If all life is 'sacred', that would include all living people - even people in the criminal justice system. We are also 'playing god' by executing criminals.

That's...huh, I never thought about it that way. So a woman can abort my kid without even telling me, even if I do want the kid, but I have to pay child support, even if I don't want the kid? How in the hell is THAT fair?

destiny does not have any intelligence. he is just an argumentative person. and knowing from experience you can provide counter argument to anything weak or strong which destinity does all the time. the problem is when he knowingly provides very weak argument and dont even acknowledge that, shows how ingeniune he is as a person.
