The Ghoul is, at this point, Chaotic Neutral IMO. He isn't specifically cruel to people, but he has no problem hurting people if he needs to in order to accomplish his goals.

10:15 My guess for why he put the finger back on: Snip-Snip was originally a medical robot. His first programming his to heal. Then, I guess the stoners put the harvesting program, without deleting the medical. So his first reflex is to help Lucy and then harvest her body. Plus, it's seems easy to reattach a limb in this universe, at least for robots like Snip-Snip. So, if they're harvesting organs for resell, I would assume they also sell other body parts. So, a full hand would be more valuable than one with a missing finger.

I had a similar thought. I figured that Snip-Snip was given a directive to harvest organs only "from people in perfect condition, " hence the request for an examination. Taking that directive at face value, he fixes any obvious defects found in the exam so he can satisfy the requirements for his primary function. Just my own headcanon, though.

Despite their appearance, Ghouls are not undead. If anything, they are superhuman. But as we saw in this episode, they can control if they go feral to a certain extent by taking those drugs in the vials.
@jmsmys13ify

I don't remember drugs ever being a thing in lore. Just that it was an inevitability if a ghoul ever lived too long. Other than the general ghouls who went straight feral from intense radiation exposure.

@@jmsmys13ify It might be a new drug, a combo of ultrajet and mentats, that improves mental function but is also super addictive and withdrawal accelerates mental deterioration. Ghouls were bascially scammed into becoming dependent on the dealers.

@@jmsmys13ify There's a theory that the drugs are actually just snake oil being sold to desperate ghouls. The actual drug being something akin to really really strong cough syrup so ghouls get addicted to that. When they go through withdrawl, they think they're going to turn and get even more desperate. If someone turns while taking the drug, it's not like anyone is going to realize what happened. They'll just rationalize it as "they must've missed a dose" or something.

Going forward there are two things to keep in mind… Quoted by Maximus and Dr. Welzig (the scientist whose head everyone is now after) 1. Everyone wants to save the world, they just disagree on how to do it. 2. Will you still want the same things when you become a different animal altogether?

Cooper Howard, aka, The Ghoul, is the epitome of the games, morally ambiguous. Remember back in the 2nd episode when Lucy shot The Ghoul with the tranquilizer gun, he said, that's a small drop in a big bucket of drugs. Ghouls are immune to radiation and can actually be healed by it. They are also very tough and pretty much only headshots can kill them. The best is yet to come in this series. There are so many twists and turns and I KNOW you will love what's to come!!!

Ladies... When you are done with this show and some movies and yadda yadda yadda. YOU NEED to react to the one and only season of Firefly followed by the movie Serenity. It is perhaps the most character driven show ever, great cast, and simply unparalleled writing. We lost it to soon and it is my favorite series of all time. Like I seriously have artists work of the show professionally framed on my wall. Now, enjoy Fallout. Much love and keep on keepin on J.

“Radiation King” is the name of the tvs and I think radios in the games as well. But it’s also the name of a tv in an old episode of The Simpsons that Homer watched as a kid and his shadow is burned into the wall behind him. I didn’t put it together until now that it could be an obscure Simpsons reference.

I think he gave her a new finger *because* they want to sell her for parts. Like, what if someone wants to buy a hand? They're not going to buy a hand with a missing finger. A hand with a finger that doesn't quite match might get a discount, but you could still sell it.

@@davebcf1231 The Expanse looks too much like a TV show with very limited sets and quite a lot of filler episodes. They also massively screwed up the p-m mystery, abruptly got rid of Miller who was the most interesting character, dedicated an entire season to stupid, repulsive Naomi and her BS family drama with her useless whiny son, and finally, they messed up the ending as well. This could easily have been a massive show about humans mercilessly fighting each other over petty things while cosmic forces beyond imagination are set in motion far from their eyes. I hope this is objective enough.

@@Tijuanabill Google AI is NOT your friend. A limb fulfils the original Latin definition and the modern definition for a organ. Latin - Organum, Tool or instrument. Modern - A collection of body tissues fulfilling a specific function. The arm has only one function... to articulate the hands... of which also only have one function, to grip or manipulate objects.

@@babalonkie This is just sad. Obviously you are wrong, but you have some sort of deep need to be right, which really doesn't have anything to do with the facts of the matter. It appears to me, that you have an outsized opinion of what others think, which is causing you to "fight" with them online. I suspect you spend quite a bit of time on this activity. But I can help you. If you simply cared less about what others think, you wouldn't get all spun up like this. Mastery of this concept, is how I will be able to disregard your response to this, which no doubt would repeat as long as I was willing to engage. Organs do have a function, but the functions they perform, are biochemically unique from other parts of the body, not just things like grabbing a beer from the fridge. In this context, "function" means a biochemical function, such as converting protein to sugars, etc. While it is true that every part of the body has a function, things like moving your toe, are not what is meant by the word "function" in the context of human organs. I hope that helps, but I suspect you care more about fighting than facts, in which case I must pass on further communication. Have a great day, and I wish you the best in dealing with your issues.

Coop didn't shoot the other ghoul out of kindness. He saw the huge pile of vials on the ground, that Roger had tried to recover with, in vain. Coop knows it's too late for him, but he also knows those vials are still in his blood stream, hence the eating of the kidneys. Coop killed and ate Roger, out of pure necessity.
@Timmayytoo
@Timmayytoo Күн бұрын
Yes, he did, or he wouldn’t have bothered to talk to Roger about his favorite food. Where did you see him eat Roger’s kidneys? If he got some extra benefit from eating Roger then why did he collapse outside the store?
@Tijuanabill
@Tijuanabill Күн бұрын
@@Timmayytoo You didn't seem him eating Roger, and literally Mmming while he did it? What? Watch again, friend. He distracted Roger to kill him, regardless of why you think he killed him. That could not be more obvious. Feral ghouls are dangerous, and Roger is turning feral in the scene. I don't think he did get any benefit from eating Roger. I think he did it out of pure desperation. He later says he wants "Two months of vials" which are later presented by the robot as "60 vials". So clearly he needs to take this stuff every day, and it's been a few days since he had any. If you disagree, that's fine. The interpretation of art is up to the viewer, not the creator. We can both have a different view.
@davebcf1231
@davebcf1231 22 сағат бұрын
If it was purely out of necessity he could have just shot him the second they walked in the door. The reason he reminds him about his favorite foods is to give him a nice thought just before his death, which is an act of mercy. If there was much left in Rogers bloodstream he wouldn't be turning in the first place. Also, whatever piece he cut off Rogers back wasn't a kidney. That's not what kidneys look like, plus if that's what he was after it would make no sense for him to just leave the other kidney.
