Also, the wolf is a cute little way of laying to rest his “wild animal” side- a narrative device that doubles as a nifty sight gag.

This is one of my favorite movies!! Top 10 for sure! What's interesting is how the recorded George Clooney's lines. They went outside, and if Mr Fox is jumping over something, George jumped over/off something they found outside so that he sounded out if breath more naturally. They truly thought and performed out if the box and it paid off.

I'm so glad you reacted to this movie! This is one of my all time favorites for forever. It's so simple yet so profound in the same breath and strange. It may or have exposed my father issues, can't hear George Clooney the same anymore.😂 I'm also just a huge fan or the writing and the COLOR. I belive the scene with the gang looking off and seeing the wolf in the distance is a visualization of Mr. Fox's plight. The whole movie he struggles with who he is in that moment, and what he used to be in his "prime". Like a mid life crisis. The scene with the wolf has the wolf placed on all fours, wild, while the rest are more sophisticated or teter in between wild and sophisticated (like the argument with his lawyer). The wolf is in the white, cold winter and distant. Frozen over and barren, a much harsher environment. While the most of the film is in an orange and brown hue of autumn, the in-between, resembling Mr. Fox's age and midlife crisis. The wolf in the cold, resembilng a hard desolate future for Mr. Fox or even death as he grows older.

‘I’m going to lose my temper now’ ‘When?’ ‘Right now!’ ‘Well… when?’ BAHA, the dynamic between these two reminds me of a couple I know so much (minus the scratching) 😂 . The whistling Western-y(?) music in this one stands out to me too. Always fun and charming revisiting this one, and now I have an excuse to say… plz react to Matilda at some point! It’s based on another Roald Dahl book (which you probs know). It’s a classic and another gem IMO. As far as epic child characters go Matilda has gotta be top 5 and Miss Trunchbull is hysterical (and horrifying!) in that movie 👌

Mr Fox- “Who am I Kylie?” Kylie- “What? Who How? What Now?” This is my whole family’s favorite movie ever. There are so many amazing lines in it. Since this came out we’ve all added at least a line or two in all of our every day speech. Not only is this movie hysterical in so many ways but it’s also extremely smart and thought provoking. Trust me, if you live somewhere like CA or CO etc, “relax” and watch it again. Great video!

He wrote Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, The Witches, James and the Giant Peach, The Twits, Esio Trot and a fair few I’m probably forgetting. I loved his books as a kid and I’m gonna reread James and the Giant Peach at some point. The movie adaptation of it was really good and I definitely recommend you watch it if you haven’t already and the books of course. (They’re shorter books than I normally read)

In my opinion one of my favorite Wes Anderson films ever made The scenery and setting is amazing The dialogue is funny but can be heartfelt. And overall a film I can never get tired of watching. Fun Fact:(for those that don't know.)Wes Anderson voices the realtor. They based the rat on Wilem Dafoe's movements and almost likeness. But I adore this movie.

Stop Motion and Wes Anderson fit like bread an butter; free reign to embrace his themes of attention to detail, bright color palettes, symmetry and blunt snap movement. Isle of Dogs is definitely worth the watch, I liked Moonrise Kingdom and Grand Budapest Hotel too (neither are stop-motion though) Never the fan of Rushmore though, but it may be someone else's cup of tea Roald Dahl wrote 'weird stuff' indeed; Mathilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the Twits, the Witches, the BFG, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, James and the Giant Peach, but also wrote the script for Bond movie You Only Live Twice (himself having been an undercover spy to infiltrate the US to find ways of convincing 'America First' people to support the effort, Bond writer Ian Fleming was also among the writers enlisted to be spies)

I know this movie was Wes Anderson, but you should watch James and the Giant Peach since it was Henry Selick and produced by Tim Burton. 1996 film that I first saw when I was like 11 or so in school. Just because it has a good story and also the type of animation that Selick does is always wonderful.
