SUMMARY OF THE BEEF: Pac & Biggie were originally close friends. Pac took Big under his wing when he was coming up. They're friendship ended once Pac was robbed & shot 5 times at Quad studios. Around this time Pac was hanging with infamous NY gangsters while firming the movie Above The Rim in New York. Haitain Jack was one of them. He was one of the gangsters, along with Jimmy Henchman, who were extorting Bad Boy records (Diddy's label). At this time Jimmy Henchman wanted Pac to sign to Bad Boy. Pac knowing he was in Bad Boy's pockets declined. Jimmy took this as disrespect & wanted to teach Pac a lesson. Through Haitain Jack, he set Pac up in a sexual assault charge by paying a woman to accuse him of rape. Pac found out he was set up & started calling out Jack in the streets. Labeling him a snitch & a snake. Afterwards Pac was headed to Quad studios to record a verse for Lil Shawn, an artist managed by Jimmy. The whole Bad Boy records was present. Pac was greeted by 2 gun men trying to rob him. Pac then reached for his gun & that's when he got shot. In the hospital Pac wanted to know who it was who shot him so he asked Biggie. Biggie was scared to tell Pac this because those same gangsters were already in his pockets. Pac took this as betrayal & that's how the beef started. Pac went to jail & was bailed out by Suge Knight. In return he would sign to Death Row records. Suge already disliked Diddy because Diddy's friend Wolf murdered Suge's friend at Jermaine Dupris birthday party so Suge put the battery in Pac's back to go hard at Bad Boy records & anyone affiliated which caused the "East Coast vs West Coast" beef
@mavericklens34624 жыл бұрын
You left the part where big released who shot ya after 'Pac got shot. That's the track that fucked up dudes mind. Don't tell a story redactedly cos of sentiments. 'Pac & Big knew what they were getting into with the beef.
@TheGorgeousGoon4 жыл бұрын
Maverick Lens I didn't include that part because Big actually recorded that prior to Pac getting shot. I know some people from that camp & they confirmed this. There's theories that Big recorded that track before the shooting knowing it was going to happen but that's false because Pac wasn't supposed to get shot. He was set up to be only robbed. But that track didn't fucked with Pac's mind because while in Jail niggas were putting him on game letting him know exactly who robbed & shot him. So he already knew what was going on. Pac just felt like he was being taunted with "Who Shot Ya" & from there is where he saw Big as an enemy. He knew Big didn't set him up, he just felt like he chose a side

This song Didn't Start the beef, pac getting shot at a studio where biggie invited him, not being given any information about who shot him. Then 2 weeks later biggie came out with a song called who shot you is what started it. This was Tupac's response
@mauricehumphrey5452 жыл бұрын
This was in response to Tupac finding out that Biggie set him up and was behind him getting robbed and shot at a New York studio. Plus, Biggie took pictures wearing rings that were taken from Tupac when he got robbed and shot. THAT'S what set Tupac off. He did not just go off on Biggie. There was a reason behind it. Tupac had carried Biggie along with him and took care of him when he was nothing. Then, while Tupac was recovering in the hospital (Biggie had helped put him there), Biggie became famous while Pac was recovering. There, that's some of the history between these two.
