Just watched your past video, and as constructive critism, I saw many red flags with you. and many people make this mistake so you're not alone. 1. When you had that job opportunity but wanted to address your concerns, that is a red flag for companies because they don't want a "complainer" 2. Taking that month off to Brazil was a bad mistake, companies want someone who is devoted to them, taking a vacay after being laid off is a red flag. moving forward dont say that, just say you were looking for a job asap. 3. even though i beleive you have a chill demeanor, people like positive energy and outlooks, its ok to feel the way you do but practice your voice projection and smile. they want someone who will bring life to a team not bring them down. 4. apply to jobs outside your degree, ive met a ton of people who have degrees that dont line up to their role, you never know what is out there. I have HR background so I know this will help you going forward, all the best and goodluck

Hey Jeremy as another small content creator who has my own youtube channel that also works with a bunch of KZbin / influencer areas for work, the first thing every person has told me before starting a channel is that there's always gonna be people who criticize. For some people they just find joy in bringing down people. Just don't fall for it and do what you do. You don't have to explain yourself. Your content is good. I actually just stumbled upon your channel since you landed on my youtube homepage. It's always nice to see smaller channels being promoted as of late. I believe what you're saying after experiencing all the trauma from my friends. The job market is terrible at the moment. All my friends from major tech companies who spent a good 10 years got laid off all of a sudden one day from a zoom meeting and all my fellow peers in film/tv are getting no work because of the strikes. Losing a job and finding ways to keep yourself motivated in the job search is very difficult. Let alone making videos and talking about it. It takes a specific person to be able to do what you're doing right now. Keep up the great work!

I guess it depends on everyone's situation and how you look at it. Funny enough, I work as a corporate recruiter job and have a delivery job on the side, for extra cash at a restaurant. I heard one of the food runners say, I have been applying to jobs and never hear back. The runner has a "job" working in a restaurant, but they have a "job". I know it's not the same if you are contracting in your field. Is having a job at any place the same.

The more you give those type of comments attention, the more you will see them. Take whatever positivity you can from their harsh words, and do not highlight their trolling. Focus on the good comments and thank the haters for their input because honestly, they may offer you pointers, but dont dwell. "Do not let the behavior of others destroy your inner peace". The job market is tanking, the economy is tanking and has been propped up for decades...it is not a testament of your failures, it is a testament to the failures of us citizens as a whole to hold our government accountable for their usurpations. Your pain and turmoil is profitable to a select few. If it exists and is widespread, it is profitable, period.

I have to say they have good reason to feel the way they do, Jeremy. You weren't honest and we're found out to use a click bait title. So you kind of deserved the hate. That said I do feel for your situation. We all struggle but we keep moving forward. I had come back out of retirement after living in VN forn4 years with my fiancé. We got pregnant 3 years in and decided it was best to raise our daughter in the states. So I came back and the first year I spent notnworjing rather helping my wife though her pregnancy as we did not have much family support to lean on. My wife had a very difficult time with my parents and Soni ended up moving out and spending a small fortune renting and living off my savings without any source of income for a year and a half. The immense amount of stress I endured dealing with a pregnant wife, her going through postpartum, her complaining about us not having income and a future and me not being able to land a job and blowing through my life savings. So I do empathize with the uncertainty and discouragement. My only advice to you is to keep your head up, do things that make you hally regularly to maintain your mental health is the most important. And keep pushing. Having faith in yourself and your ability is better than not, regardless of your job situation. There's a little bit of luck in everything we do so the more we do it the more luck we have. Don't waste your time making lame videos and responding tonsocial media. Spend it impeoving your skillet, enhancing it, growing it. Likewise with your network. Something will come. Believe it will and keeping going until it happens. Best of luck to you.

Hi Jeremy, thanks for sharing about your situation but I don’t think it’s wise to openly criticise another company publicly (in your previous video) on your channel. While they may be at fault, the open criticism which was emotional (albeit an anonymous company) , may send a impression to your future employers that you have problems managing your emotions. And should they employ you, they may be a target in the unforeseen future. As much as we can empathise with you and fully support your hopes on getting full time employment asap, that video (including this one) do not serve you, as much as you think they do. Take care brother.

Hi, best wishes to you on your job search. I can’t really say why, but there was something about your affect or tone in the last video that was pretty off putting to me, and I’m really not sure why (and today’s video feels much more authentic and likeable). I can’t put my finger on it, but there was something that came off slightly inauthentic or subtly arrogant or entitled, that made me want to comment and argue about some of the points you made. I avoided the impulse and glad I did not comment at all, but now I am giving you honest feedback on that video, that something in the tone of what you said, pushed a negative button. That video felt like you were “acting”. This video feels more authentic and a lot better. And I recognize that making content like this is difficulty but just wanted to maybe give you feedback on how that hate you received can be avoided in the future, and just improve how you do this.
