I knew someone who lived in the same apartment block as Jeffrey Dahmer and she said that he would do BBQs sometimes. When I asked her what did the meat taste like, she just remembered it tasted like pork but she shuddered at the thought of her maybe eating human remains.

When I first found him, in 2020, he actually was doing 4 or 5 videos a week. It was kinda sad when he reduced it to 1 or 2, but considering the amount of research he really does on his stories, it makes sense. Plus, he does have a full fnaily to take care of and spend time with, so it's understandable. Haha But at one point, he was DAAAAMN hustlin. Haha

The morality of dropping the bombs I think will always be debated. As it probably should be, honestly. War is ugly and sadly usually comes down to “calculus”. The idea was that many millions more Allied & Japanese soldiers and civilians would die if they had to do a mainland invasion. But the world will never know for certain. Let’s just hope a nuclear bomb is never used again. They’re much, much more powerful now. And it wouldn’t take much to start a nuclear winter to kill us all and the planet. Ironically, they both guarantee our extinction & have so far, given us “The Long Peace”. A reason sanctions are being used against Russia vs direct conflict.

I think we also forget the millions of Jewish, gypsies, gays and others who were being tortured and killed under nazi rule. I agree, war is horrible and pray someday that it will cease. Nobody can really 'win'.. just one side loses more

Actually, Brigette was not "'one of the luckiest people on the planet" because Jeffrey Dahmer never killed women. He killed men and teen boys. Inf act, that first escapee whom the police let go back with Jeffrey was a 14 year old that Jeffrey convinced the police was actually 19. The fourteen year old was one of two brothers killed at different times by Jeffrey (one of the brother's bodies was in the apartment while Jeffrey picked up and killed the other a few weeks later. Jeffrey Dahmer was also known as "The Milwaukee Cannibal".

I disagree with your claim about the bombings of Japan because if they did not surrender Japan would have forced 30,000,000 civilians to fight to the death and I mean that because on one of the last islands the U.S took from Japan before the bombings had 22,000 Japanese troops and 19,000 of those Japanese troops died because when they ran out of ammo they did not surrender but infact they strapped grenades onto their bodies and jumped onto American armoured vehicles killing themselves and maybe just maybe the Americans inside them. Also on that island, Japan forced all of the civilians to commit death onto themselves "For the greatnesss of the Japanese Empire". So if the USA invaded Japan, Japan would have tried to use those 30,000,000 civilian soldiers as meat shields. Or tell the others that couldn't fight to commit you know. Which would wipe civilizations off of the map. That is why I think the Nuclear bombings of Japan were completely justified.
@CSRT1232 жыл бұрын
plus japan committed inhumane atrocities onto its neighbors and prisoners of war. I don't like the killing of innocent civilians, but japan as a whole had to take responsibility for the kind of fucked up shit it did during ww2. japanese leaders still don't admit to their crimes in ww2 and their school curriculum whitewashes all of their crimes.
@Noremac_the_Negligible2 жыл бұрын
The Japanese government would have surrendered when the Soviets invaded Manchuria anyway, that was the main reason the Japanese government surrendered as they didn’t understand what had happened in Hiroshima, all they knew is they lost all contact with the city. Yes American planes dropped leaflets about what happened in Hiroshima but the Japanese government didn’t believe them as American planes had been dropping propaganda all over Japan ever since they had air superiority

My one friend in college had another friend who was going to college not far from Jeffrey Dahmer's neighborhood. She called the cops because she almost hit the Asian boy driving back from work because he was stumbling around. She saw what she thought was blood on his neck and tried to get him to stay by her car. But he took off when she had to use the pay phone since that was when only rich people had cellphones. I know she ended up dropping out of school and was in therapy for a long time after because she felt guilty for not saving him.

Actually, Japan did surrender after the first bomb on Hiroshima. The USA dropped the bomb on Nagasaki anyway. I am not clear if they got the orders too late or didn't care. Either way, Nagasaki was bombed after Japan surrendered. It was a few days after Nagasaki that Japan PUBLICALLY surrendered,
@Amrod97 Жыл бұрын
Exactly, the Americans gave Japan too little time to react. The decision to surrender unconditionally was made on the morning of August 9, after a close examination of what had happened to Hiroshima. Only that it was already too late because the second bomber was already on its way over Nagasaki. I would only add that the use of the second bomb was an arbitrary act by Curtis LeMay. Truman was on his way back from Potsdam at the time and did not approve this action. This resulted in the creation of a rule according to which only the president can approve the use of nuclear weapons.

From the USA 🇺🇸 people seem to forget. Japan also wiped out whole cities in China. Everyone seems to forget and give them a pass. Except for China. You can't pick a fight and then complain how the other half defense itself. William.s

Japan didn't surrender for almost a month since the bombs were dropped and only did so after the Soviets successfully occupied Manchuria 2 weeks after the bombings.

3:09 Yeah, and especially with what the Japanese did. e.g. The R*** Of Nanjing, the war-crimes committed in the Battle Of Okinawa, there's lots of terrible things the Japanese did in World War 2 that is often glossed over due to the fact that well... the Holocaust was much more impactful.

@@MySerpentine - Yeah, people seem to be more horrified by the thought of someone else being eaten after their death, than by someone else being tortured and murdered (not referring to OP or their comment here, as OP merely mentioned a "nickname" for Dahmer)...
