If you retract the mimic summon and it was a straight fight between her and the boss I would agree. It’s cool that people have fun with the game but using mimic or rivers of blood honestly negates the challenge all together. I wish From Software made her the one boss you cannot summon on and no status effects built up on her. That would make this fight incredible. However it’s nice to know more casual players can get into the game and beat everything easy if they like doing so which is why I laugh when people say the game is hard. I started a fresh character and beat the Tree Sentinel on my first try fresh out of the tutorial then walked through the game with no summons and didn’t even die until I hit the true Godfrey fight. Lol. That being said if that can be done a new player using the tools implemented to help casual players should be able to beat anything the game throws at them. Even though it may seem like I’m ragging on you I am not my friend, this was quite enjoyable to watch. The music alone made me watch the transition video every single time.

If that is the case, I would love to see her become an unexpected ally. She was the only demigod in this game that I felt was truly honorable and in possession of (most) of her senses, despite the horrors of the Scarlet Rot. She didn't insult us or feel any spite when we defeated her. And she called us a true Lord, which is more than can be said for most of the demigods. Perhaps she will help us subdue Miquella in a DLC? Who knows? I certainly wouldn't be opposed to it. Knowing From Software, though, we'll probably have to fight her again, for sure.

Maybe Malenia regrets her past actions, but she was insufferably prideful and hateful, going across the continent for glory, only to nuke a whole part of the kingdom with Super-AIDS to squeak out a draw against Radahn who was just protecting his home, cursing him in a needlessly cruel way. She's still very prideful when you fight her, doing the same thing she did against Radahn and refusing to surrender even though it's meaningless. Out of all the Demigods I'd say she was the one with the worst personality. Even Rykard and Godrick are understandable/gone mad in some way, but she has all her senses and still chose to act that way, which is why I think that.

She would last longer if you hadnt watched cheese guides and used the mimic tear. A huge reason why bosses in these games are so memorable is because they are hard, when you take that away by using cheese methods and op strats (which 95% of the time people search up and not find on their own) u miss out on a lot.

Sad it's over but u used a mimic! I recommend creating a save file if you get to her again on ng+ then you can see how challenging she is based on other build or fighting styles (e.g. especially try with a heavy/collosal weapon without any summons).

@@ilias-4252 I don't think it should be nerfed. If you don't like it don't use it. I don't. It's only a PvE item anyway so doesn't effect anyone but the person using it. Nerfing should only be used to balance online and stop glitches (like the set yourself on fire shield tactic)

ye Mimic Tear is broken as fck and I would be really surprised if they didn't nerf the hell out of it again but in the case of Malenia, the Tear is not the main issue. She really does stagger EXTREMELY easily. if you power-stance two bleed weapons, you can hit her for absurd dmg as long as you have the stamina for it and she can't do much about it. I think they should just raise her Poise a bit and it would fix the mimic problem completely.

Secondly, yes raising her poise would solve the problem but doing that instead of nerfing the mimic would 1) raise malenia's difficulty to an obsurd level for ppl without mimic since she wont stagger by normal attacks 2) not solve the general problem with the mimic. So no it wouldnt fix the mimic problem

Summons are still OP as hell. If you think they aren't, you aren't using them correctly. Shabriri's Woe + Mimic + Unequip absolutely destroys the entire game. Also, a mechanic that the developers put in the game for the purpose of being used is not "cheating".....

Summons are a mechanic of the game that the developers intended to be used by players. While I personally find the game a lot more fun without summons, there's nothing wrong with using them to beat a boss.
