That's so strange to me. Of the approx. 1000 hrs I've played Stellaris, maybe the first 50 weren't Ironman. Isn't Ironman much more interesting/ meaningful?

@@nessesseda I started with Iron Man off, then I decided to turn it on for an experiment to see what achievements I can get, and simply left it on. I don't load previous saves anyway, so for me this was not an issue. However, I play exclusively vanilla. As far as I understand, if you use mods, you are still not eligible for achievements. Looking at the steam workshop, there are thousands of people subscribed to the more popular cosmetic mods alone.

It's actually easier now, I believe. I don't know in which update it changed, but now Reliquaries aren't limited. The first 6 have the time delay and are bought with caravancoins, but afterwards, you can just spam buy them, starting at the price of 8K energy credits, and increases 5% per reliquary. I may have gotten the galatron 3 times runs in a row already, just because I have too much disposable energy by the mid/late game, and the +3 influence is worth more to me. Edit: Checked the Wiki history. It was changed on 3.5

@@cringelord7776 I didn't intend to demerit you, that is some impressive luck. However, I did mention it, because someone might read it, and want to get it for the achievement. To me, it's usually just a nice bonus I get when I have too much energy, and I'm just wasting it for some research bonuses. (24 months of stored research is worth quite a fair bit.) As a note, that 5% increase in price stacks up quickly. Only buy extra reliquaries if you are desperate, searching for the Galatron, or have more money than you care about. Once, I got the reliquaries to a quarter of a million credits before getting the Galatron, in a stroke of horrible luck.

I legit play sometimes for specific achievements. I've almost gotten all of them and some that seem really simple are still super rare. The one I'm the most proud of is "You've been served!" I didn't earn it but man did it lead to a galactic scale apocalypse led only by me against all 5 other players and A.I empires

I once had a vassal who had opposing ideologies to me, then I had a migration treaty with them. So what happened was, my pops who had a different ideology, flooded most of their sectors, and then rebelled. Now I have a new vassal, with my exact same ideologies, who I can bring into my federation.

Cordyceps reanimation stacks over fleet cap as well. Grab the Tyanki spawning system, wait for your first 200 fleet worth of spawns, then use it to eat all of it's brothers. It's hilarious.

Every single one of my games is for achievements. They are the only thing you get to keep, to prove you have done it. What is the point of not getting them? Without them, you will simply lose all joy from the game after a few years...

Galatron stream idea. have viewers create empires the feel have the best odds of getting it. set a timeframe to play each empire 200 years? this way if you do find it then that viewer just won some mega status points and people are going to try that one themselves. Should you not find it and give up or run out of viewer empires. Then it was still good for your viewers. they see several builds and maybe title of Galatron God?
