It’s great to have Eldon take control again but the cliffhanger in the last episode made me think Nick was calling Michelle or Miss Kate. I was expecting one of them to show up😂 But more Eldon is great. Makes sense for him to be down about Acronation’s loss. It would be nice to know how Thalia feels about that too. Maybe the extra classes she’s doing is to build Acronation’s confidence back up. Ethan really got screwed over though and after all the hard work he went through to make the small group together with Ebby, Niall and Jett. Same for the trio with Olive, Adele and Ariana. I hope Ethan still gets something. Maybe the solo. Seeing Izzy build leadership skills is good. I like that they’re getting more material. Heath, Pete, Jett and Adele competing over dance captaincy was fun too. Not the strongest episode but still good.

I feel bad for Ethan! He wasn't in a feautred routine at nationals and now it's internationals and the one opportunity he has to be featured in an internationals dance, it's taken away from him.

Really want Heath as DC - he's shown really maturity and friendship to pretty much everyone this season, but not sure it fits with the plot...

This was a fun episode, I agree with pretty much everything you said. It's crazy that *internationals* dances haven't been solidified at all halfway through the season. TNS is notorious for changing dance routines right before the big competition, but at least there were already chosen dances throughout the season to work on even if they did get changed. The dance captain storyline is pretty fun though, so I just hope 9b has wayyy more episodes focusing on internationals routines to make up for it.

i feel like this is the case yeah, season 9a is just getting to know the new characters and it sets up for internationals, so now hopefully season 9b is full of rehearsals and actual internationals content!

For me I wanted Anthony should have been dance captain we haven’t seen a lot of male dance captains since Noah so that would be good but for the plot I know it’s going to be Ariana for dance captain because of the storyline 😢😂

This was a funny ep! Loving it so far but I just wish we saw more internationals routines being rehearsed. Like in s3 by now I’m pretty sure they had started rehearsing and choosing the dancers. Regardless, it was a great ep and love your reactions as always ❤❤

I feel like seasons 1-6 felt more natural but 7 and 8 kind of let me down just with how unnatural and sometimes unrealistic it was. But I think the season is giving us some hope!

Emily totally should come back to choose the Dance Captain! Like she came back in Season 4 to help Riley and chose a dance captain for her, Emily and Eldon choosing the Dance Captain would be amazing!!

I love this episode. I feel bad for Ethan. I hope he will be featured in Internationals. I was laughing when Izzy said take it to the mop instead of take it to the top, it brought humor to the episode. What is the point of Eldon being at The Next Step when he was at AcroNation with his Girlfriend Thalia and then returned to The Next Step Studio to help The Next Step at Internationals when AcroNation lost at Nationals. Is AcroNation done? I feel like the small group dances that Ariana, Adele, Olive, Ethan, Ebby, Jett, and Niall worked on don't need to be started over. Why not just show the dance to Eldon to begin with. I'm loving Olive, everything she is saying is so pure. I'm glad Pascale showed up to join the small group rehearsal since she's in the exchange program and wanted to learn about The Next Step Studio. I don't think Pascale is going to sabotage The Next Step. Grace please leave Ariana alone, she doesn't want to do the plan with Grace anymore. Jett thought the fight was about them being annoying instead of the dance captain was so hilarious. I'm so glad we got an Izzy solo in this episode. Straight to the Top was used in Hunter's solo against Eldon while Eldon used Open Up for the battle in Season 3. The song was also used to Shantel's solo against Mackenzie who did Falling Behind, Tess's solo against Amanda who did Fire, Skylar's solo against Cierra who did Falling Behind, James was supposed to use this song against Riley in the battle but walked out. Izzy and Heath would be perfect co captains. I'm curious where the trio dance was that Izzy, Olive, and Niall were supposed to do, what was the point of this episode then if the trio dance was not shown. I'm looking forward to your next reaction video.

I also really loved the scene with Pete, Heath, Jett and Adele. I honestly think its one of the funniest scenes on the show and I'm glad it didn't feel cringe or immature. And Ben's acting was very good. I also agree that the groups that Eldon made weren't the best. I feel like with this specific a-troupe the characters are constantly hanging out with diff people and there haven't been many really strong friendships.

I feel like there are gunna be 3 parts to season 9. I really don't feel like we're gunna get to the end of internationals in another 11ish episodes. The storyline won't be solid per character and it'll be so rushed if there isn't a 9c

Personally, I don't think Anthony should be dance captain. I love him but he spoke about how he became a dance captain because he's nervous and stressed and stuff and this would be too much pressure. Since he is the only choreographer and a dancer and a kid I think also making him temp dance captain would be way too much.

I feel like Adele and Izzy should've swaped, because if Izzy was in the small group, I think that would be better and same if Adele was still in the trio. I would replace Niall with Ariana though, but overall swaping Izzy annd Adele, in my perspective, would make it much better.

Personally, this is deffo my least fave ep in 9A. Other than the trio (which I don't agree with the dancers) and that scene where Pete grabs Jett and pulls her to the side, I don't find any of it funny, nor do I find it interesting. I rlly want Heath too, but, I think Anthony makes best DC.

i really do not like grace and ariana confirtation thing and araina will not be dance captin Kenzie is the dance captian for the studio head too . Props to Eldon for keeping the peace for the drama.
