"It feels weird" - Everyone that ever opened the Sherlock album. We were all as shocked back then and it is still shocking today. While everyone was at least 18 it still felt weird.

Yes! You are right. That's why I got Onew who hid his chest in the cover, but they're all the same kind of album when you shuffle the booklets around a new memeber is the cover! As I get older it feels stranger because they were so young, but Onew is a comfort, so thank you Onew for keeping the cover PG.

Yes, "Sherlock" is a special song that combines the two songs "Clue" and "Note." That's why the title of the MV and live performance is "Sherlock (Clue & Note)." When you listen to the album you see that they are two separate songs, but when combined they become the albums title track "Sherlock." So, in the MV and live performance you hear the mashup of the two songs. (It's similar to what SM did with SuperM's song "One (Monster & Infinity)," where they took their songs "Monster" and "Infinity" and combined them to create the title track "One." ) Yep, SHINee's Sherlock album had a kind of Sherlock Holmes era, burlesque theme, so all the members, except Onew (who, as I think you know, never shows off his body), don't wear a shirt for most of the photos. You should see the behind the scenes photo shoot for this album jacket, kzbin.info/www/bejne/j5fZeJyordqZsLs. "Sherlock (Clue & Note)" is part of the intro of the concert, but the whole concert is just as intense and amazing as what you just saw. This performance was from their SHINee World Concert IV (SWC4) in Seoul, so it was in 2015. This concert -- and their previous concert SWC3 in Seoul -- is where the majority of SHINee's best live performances are from. You will eventually get requests to watch every one of the stages from this concert, because they are all must see performances and they are so iconic. Those vocals are why SHINee are known as one of the best live performances in Kpop. Jonghyun is one of the best vocalist in the industry, and what you just experienced is why SHINee is one of the most well respected groups in all of Kpop. Even as rookies, Jonghyun and Onew were so well respected for their vocal abilities that they were mentors and vocal coaches for several SM artists, including some of the members of EXO. Key designed several outfits for this concert, including the ones you see them wearing in "Sherlock". The embellishments and design for these military style uniformes, were created by him. If you think this performance was insane, just wait until you see the full concert. They perform like this for 3 hours straight and they never take more than a 5 minute break in between sets to change their clothes and get ready for the next set. If you watch this full set you will see that right after this they immediately follow this song up with their song "Shine" and then their Iconic performance of "Stranger" and then "Picasso." They literally go from one song to the next without even skipping a beat. They don't even have a chance to catch their breath, and yet, right after that, when they interact with the audience, they don't even look or sound like the performance has even started. And they do it all while singing live the whole time. :D "Honestly" is another song that was wrote by Jonghyun. I can see how you could interpret the song to be about the members talking about their relationship with each other, but I think it might be about SHINee's relationship with Shawols. You really need to see their performance of "Alarm Clock" which they also performed in this concert, as well as live performances of all the songs on this album. SHINee have performed almost all of their songs live at some point, and they sound even better live. As you are starting to discover, SHINee live is 3000% better than any of their studio versions of their songs -- which says a lot, because SHINee's albums are perfection, and it's pretty hard to outdo perfection. LOL This whole concert DVD of SHINee World Concert IV in Seoul -- the whole 3+ hours -- has been uploaded to KZbin by a fan, and it even has English subs for all the parts where they interact with the audience, right in the video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bIXOn4KCmtiImZY It really feels like you are right there at this concert. 12:19 for Sherlock, this is how they mixed Clue and Note: studio version is Clue verse 1 + Note chorus & verse 2 + Clue bridge + Note last chorus & outro SWC4 version is Note verse 1 & chorus + Clue verse 2 & bridge + Note last chorus & outro I may have missed a lot but that's the simplest way I could think to put it right now. So even if you listened to the studio version and watched the concert perf in this video, they would still be different songs.

Since the album was release in 2012 they were all 18+, but Taemin has always looked like a baby xd (even though almost being 19 it's not really an adult.) My favorite bsides are Stranger, Alarm Clock and Honesty. Thank you for another SHINee reaction Sir Austin 💜🌸🌺

I love that since Sherlock is just a mix of Clue and Note, for that performance they didn't do the original Sherlock we know from the MV and album. They just combined Clue and Note again but with different parts. Remixed the remix lol

"sherlock" isn't a full-length album, but it's THE no-skip shinee release for me! i'm still always vibing to "alarm clock," "the reason" (HOO BOI them vocals), "honesty," and "stranger" whenever they get played on my spotify "alarm clock" and "the reason" have concert lives that i highly recommend! and i believe the version of "stranger" that you watched previously was the Japanese version, if you're still up for it, you can also watch the Korean version in their SWC4 💖

This album is such a gem, all the songs are beautiful. It's so hard to choose a favorite! Both Honesty (a song for Shawols) and Alarm Clock were written by Jonghyun (Minho partecipated in the rap making for both of them, plus the one in Stranger)💕 All the versions are the same btw. The album just comes with the booklet of the member you chose on the front. The only difference is the artwork on the plastic cover!

Aaahh Alarm Clock is so cool, that constant beat and just crazy vocals floating around.. And then Honesty gives me all the feels. One of those things between Shinee and Shawol that I love is the idea of wanting to mirror each other. You do well, so I will also do well.

Honesty was written by Jonghyun (and the rap by Minho) for Shawols, and I cry whenever listen to it. It's so sweet and reflects so well my feelings as a fan. It's my favorite song from that album and one of my favorite SHINee songs. The melody is so beautiful and their voices shine so much!! I just love it. I remember the first time I listen to it without knowing the meaning and it moved me so much. And later on I knew the meaning and that only increased my love for that song.

I believe it's the same for all versions. The order of the covers just change which member they'd put first (other shawols pls correct me if I'm wrong). I bought the Key version before and it looks the same as yours. Favorite song is Honesty and Stranger. I was actually hoping you'd watch the live version of Sherlock + Shine + Stranger as that also features a different version of Replay as an intro and hoping you'd hear that. Overall love this album and your reaction as always. Excited for your next video!

This is correct. The actual difference is the plastic sleeve is different colors/designs. Otherwise everything else is the same. Total scam by SM.

The Reason was and still is my soft spot. I always cried 99% when I listen to this song from start to end. No, you don't need to buy another version. It's just about the placement of each member's little booklet, who's at the front. The content are the same as long as I know.

Sherlock (Clue+Note) is the 1st hybrid song that SM ever made (cmiiw) and that's why when they released SuperM's One (Monster&Infinity) most shawols were not surprised because we already know what kind of song it is xD

Honesty is a song they made to shawols, it's about shawols relationship with shinee and how we've protecting each other for years. sherlock mini album is from 2012, only 4 years after their debut, and we were already glued like that lol

i dont know if you have noticed but the sherlock version from sw4 is way different from the studio and mv one, like the intro on the studio is from clue but the live was note, the bridges were also swapped, i love how they kept playing with both songs to give us multiple versions of sherlock

it’s okay, i’ve thought the bias situation out. How Shawols justify having 5 biases: 1. If your bias is Key or Minho, you actually bias both. Your bias comes with his bias as a unit. 2. Taemin, as the maknae, requires your special love and attention at all times. Don’t want him to get jealous. 3. Try not to fall in love with Jonghyun. Impossible! He’s had you since the first “noonan neomu yeoppeoseo”. Admit it. 4. Every time Jinki smiles or trips and falls, he steals a piece of your heart. He’s the leader! Obviously, you need to devote some extra support for him. It’s only fair. Wait…when did he get so hot? 5. SHINee is 5.

People I am struggling to find I bad song by Shinee. I mean there some that have taken a twice over to get into...but by the third time I am bopping. Yes there are some I play more than others...but I was pleasantly surprised that my Playlists ( I thought I was selecting my favorites from the 2nd tier) only to find the Playlists are long..yall......and have captured at least 4 songs out of each album. I feel the same way about the Sherlock album, specially Taemin's pictures/cover. When I bought it the store was like "sorry we only have Taemin" and I was horrified until I found out you could switch the photobooks and have the one you want as a cover lol so I changed mine to Jinki!!! And nope there are no different versions. It was all trickery and deceit, all the albums have the same photobooks 😂 I know that the public it is directed to is girls their age at the time so I have to look at it through that lense but even then I still feel like the FBI was gonna come knock at my door when I got the album 😂

I love the album. Love the songs. Love the vocals but I hate the shirtless photos. Honestly hate them. They were just too young for such concept. The anger I had towards SM back then! Urghhhh! 😅 😅 😅
