I almost forgot that half of his employees aren't provided with health care insurance, there's nothing more tiresome than people with money who say they don't care about money🙄

Probably, though I'm not sure it'll happen very soon. At least not without another massive financial crisis. The media and entertainment industry in general is kind of in turmoil because they overspeculated and maxed out the market, but you're seeing continued major investment in part because of the power of marketing. Practically nothing in the media anymore brings the value and revenue to actually cover its costs let alone bring a profit, but they keep drawing investment. It's like why Hollywood has continued to survive no matter what; for whatever reason you get this uber wealthy businessmen who are otherwise really shrewd about business willing to throw money away to a movie production that is total crap. The marketing and content-as-marketing game has become a ponzi scheme but it's also like a weird drug for finance. They just can't quit it.

He broke away from ESPN & took on the stress of running his own ship, plus his brother got sick & passed away. His father also had some issues & came close to death iirc. Basically he's dealing with stuff that would break anybody - & since it happened after he went independent he can't just disappear for 3 months to take a break & deal with it. If he's now randomly passing out regularly, his body is probably going to force the issue though.

As much as I respect Dan, he gives waaaaaay too much credit to Stephen A on various issues, including this 1. Stephen A isn't responsible for Skip's demise. SKIP HIMSELF IS! Undisputed with Shannon was kicking First Take's door in... especially when you adjust for the built in boost that First Take gets simply by being on ESPN and owned by Dinsey. Skip's ego and inability to humble himself with Shannon caused this. Not Screamin A Smith

Most People don't want to know some of the behind the scenes stuff because WE are Consumers of Sports Media. We Follow ENTERTAINMENT. YOU ALL work on your craft and art to get US; WE, the CONSUMER is what "it" is ALL about whether YOUR purpose is to make money or to make art or some combination. What care the Artist if there is no one to appreciate the pain of the crafting. YOU find joy in the craft, WE/Consumer find joy in your art...if it were not so YOU could do what you do in your basement with no one looking/listening/caring, like the AIR drummer or guitarist. About SAS putting Skip out of business is like asking why did LeBron take the Scoring Title from Kareem. My response is that Every Dog has its Day, and when an old Dog loses its Bite and Bark, the smart ones get a young Dog to do the heavy work; but as sure as day turns into night, that young Dog is gonna want its OWN, ESPECIALLY when the young Dog realizes that He is the one that has brought and WON the fight and that the old Dog has just been sitting back waxing FAT off of young one's ENERGY AND EFFORT! Hey, SAS also knows what's in his future, he is no longer a young Dog, he is just a place holder for a younger Dog...so he is Smart enough to PREPARE FOR A FUTURE. BASICALLY, this is the Rhythm/Circle of life. Life has caught up with Skip, NOBODY, NOWHERE, IN ANY BUSINESS BEATS FATHER TIME! Either move on GRACEFULLY OR end up LOOKING LIKE WIZARD JORDAN OR JOE BIDEN...

This is all very cryptic and opaque, inside baseball that isn't very interesting to me as a sports fan. I thought we were talking about Skip leaving Fox.

People telling Dan “the audience doesn’t want to hear anything about this” what does he do? Doesn’t shut tf up about it.

Then he just starts crying about passing out in front of his wife as a means for the audience to tolerate his dumbass diatribes about media money

Is there a middle ground where Dan isn't being driven to panic attacks and dizzy spells? It's not worth your health, man..

I'm so sick of people playing the blame game. Can Skip Bayless just fail on his own without someone blaming it on Stephen A. Smith. Look, he had a good run and he made choices that helped his career and some choices that hurt his career. No one forced him to make these decisions, no one forced him to go to Fox Sports, Skip Bayless made all of the decisions that were effective and at times that affected his career. This all sounds like click bate and lazy competitiveness. Skip Bayless has been gone from First Take for years by a decision that.He made which earned him millions of dollars and now that time has seemed to run its course, can we just leave it at that. Could it be that Skip Bayless just fell out of touch with his audience?

I don't mind the topic if there is something new to say. But at this point, it seems like everything there is to say has been said.
