I think all of the girls plays instruments. -Solar plays piano and guitar. -Wheein plays piano, guitar and drums -Moonbyul plays piano and she learn a bit of tradicional drums (I don't know the correct name, but you can find the clip on youtube) -Hwasa plays piano and know a little of guitar (You can find videos of them playing these instruments on youtube. also, for "no cool, i'm sorry" i want to say they did this for one of their evaluations or something. or maybe it wound up getting used for them learning to record and produce. the whole group had a kind of similar thing with the song "love me" (which they've performed a lot over the years). it was the four of them together in a recording studio having fun, goofing around while recording... until the accident that cost them the whole recording. then chaos of a different sort ensued other similar things to that that i can think of include wheein's "lay it down" preformance for evaluations (she had one of the members of vromance play guitar with her for it) and the girls working on the song "freaking shoes", which they used for... i want to say a choreography evaluation. i know there's more than just these but that's all that's coming to me right now well, other than the behind the scenes for their song "passion flower" for immortal songs 2, which you likely want to watch the actual performance of, first

During their trainee days,they are not only trained vocally and dancing.They are also taught on how to compose and record their own music. While the other agency maybe teaching their idols the basics, RBW let Mamamoo explore everything musically and let them learn everything they have to be as legit musicians.There is a video somewhere during their ,i'm not sure if that's a pre debut or early debut time where they record a song by themselves but ended up doing it again because unfortunately, Yeba strikes and wasn't able to save the recording haha. So it's really not surprising that the 4 of them are vocalist,writer,lyricist,composer ,dancer,performer and all rounders :)

i believe all four girls play at least a bit of piano (also, hwasa apparently learned how to play by ear), most can also play at least some guitar, too (unsure about byul with this one) and they've all had minor experience with drums of various sorts though can't really say any are proficient in the latter there's a video, i believe mmmtv, with 3 of the girls (all but byul) playing piano at different points, though a fair amount of wheein's and hwasa's is them realizing it's been a while since they played, so they flub things a bit. still cute, though. it's crazy how adorable wheein is, even when she's angry solar plays guitar... or was it a ukelele? at the beginning of the mv for "star wind flower sun", the b-side they promoted alongside "starry night". she and hwasa also fool around with guitars during some of their solo parts in concerts but i wouldn't even remotely say that's really playing. solar also plays guitar in one of their mmmtv episodes... ugh, i'm picturing the scene but don't recall what episode that is or even what they were filming for at the time... and wheein played a bit during her time on 'secret unnie' with hyoyeon of girl's generation as for drums, solar used a stand-up drum during her solo at one of their concerts, much later the whole group used the same type of drum both at their concert and during a year end award show (with onewe as their backup band). moonbyul learned to play at least one song on korean traditional drums for her solo in one of their concerts (trying to be vague here to keep it a bit of a surprise if you do watch them) and then wheein learned to play at least one song on the drum kits we're used to seeing, also for her solo at one of their concerts. hwasa's fooled around on a similar drum kit but can't really say if she actually knows how to play anything on it or not

I recommend you reacting to Brown Eyed Girls. They're a kpop group that has been around for 14 years and Mamamoo is like the 3rd gen version of them. They're really talented vocally (I recommend listening to sixth sense) and the rapper is great too (kill bill). The members are also kinda similar lmao Like we have Jea as Solar (both leaders, oldest members, belt the most and are crack heads), miryo as Moonbyul (second oldest member, rap queens), Narsha as Wheein (2nd youngest members, lead vocals with the best vocal technique in the group) and Gain as Hwasa (sexy maknaes, controversies due to outfits and stuff like that, stage presence, successful solo careers, iconic queens)

why do people hate vocal fry so much? I'm always like "GIMME ALL THE VOCAL FRY" I really really enjoy it on both men and women and usually my vocal favs are those who have it naturally or use it often (for example Solar and Hwasa in MMM and Jimin in BTS and Brandon from P!atD) I find it super attractive and pleasing to my ear (also same for vibrato! well unless it's suuuuper extreme like the whole song is wobbly haha)
