For being a funny throwaway line, Miles' quip of "I'm not late, maybe you guys are early" ended up kind of foreshadowing his inability to keep up with the other Spider-people later on. He's not too late to be Spiderman, the others were just a bit early, and he needed to learn how to do things his own way instead of copying someone else's style. Just an interesting little line of thought.

Something that I've seen pointed out in other videos that I feel like is underappreciated, is the fact that when Doc Ock shows up at Aunt May's house, May's reaction is "Oh great, it's Liv." Her friends call her Liv, the two of them must have been friends at some point, which is so oddly fitting somehow.

My legal birth name is Gwendolyn Stacy, it was unintentional on my parents part. They didn't realize what they'd done until I was in middleschool and got teased for being Spiderman's gf. I always hated my name after that, until this movie came out and Gwen Stacy was a superhero and more than just Spiderman's gf. This became my favorite movie but I'd never seen any other Spiderman movies before this. When I met my husband he thought it was super cool and we bonded over having character names because his name was Christopher Robinson and he got teased for having a name really close to the kid's from Winnie the Pooh. When we decided to get married and I decided I'd change my name he was sad I'd stop being Gwen Stacy, so I kept Stacy as a middle name. He's since made me see the Toby Maguire movies, No Way Home, and the first Andrew Garfield one

That line Spider-Ham says, "The hardest thing about this job is... you can't always save everybody." Really chokes me up, even to this day. In every single superhero story, someone important to them that they couldn't save (like Uncle Ben, or Gwen Stacy in the spider-Man comics,) is a traumatizing memory that stays with them the most, their driving force to do their very best and try not to let anyone else die. But it's an impossible task, the cruel reality, and a rather mature theme that I'm glad they touched on.

Fisk doesn’t have any powers but in comic books a lot of human characters train their body to peak human abilities and that’s how they are able to do stuff other humans can’t. Bruce Wayne, Frank Castle, Wilson Fisk, Matt Murdock, Sam Wilson, etc.

My favorite interaction/moment within this movie was that scene with Miles and Peter B. Paker near the end of the movie. " I love you and I'm so proud of you!!....Do I want kids??!!" Its hilarious and heartfelt, my favorite joke and moment. The movie is full of them. And one for the reasons why this movie feels so much like a comic and gives off a lot of heart for the character(s), is because Stan Lee the creater of Spiderman comics, was the one to write the script and had a hand in the designs, before he died. This was actually the last project he was working on before he past away.

Wilson Fisk has no superpowers. He has money, connections, and the strength of someone that large who is all muscle. He generally can fight Spidey, because Peter always holds back to the level of his opponents. In the comics Fisk put a hit on Aunt May, so Peter beat him within an inch of his life and explained he could have always killed Fisk, even as a teenager, but had never wanted to until now

Everything from the visuals, the artistic comic book style of animation, the humor, heartfelt moments, and the characters of the film are what made this movie for me. You know it cannot be understated enough how effortlessly this movie not only set up a perfect origin movie, but also a perfect multiverse movie, ensemble movie (which they achieved without 3-5 prequel movies about individual heroes), and passing of the torch movie, which had great potential to franchise any way they wanted. The movie is just spectacular, from the comic-style animation all the way down to the payoff and growth of each character, it's chef kiss gourmet shit.

just a fun fact: in the brazilian dubbing of this movie, for the roles of Peter Parker and Mary Jane and Aunt May, they brought the same brazilian voice actors who did those respective characters' voices in the brazilian dubbing of the 2000s Spiderman trilogy. I watched this in english the first times, but then when I was watching it with my little cousins it was on brazilian portuguese because of them, and when I heard those voices it felt so so nostalgic and even more emotional hahaha (I was a little kid when the first spiderman trilogy was coming out so I used to watch the movies with the brazilian voices back then)

Hands down, the leap of faith is the absolute best moment I've seen in a movie in ages. A unique detail is the amount of work it took to make things look out of focus. It's an insane amount of work to do that. Plus, can we appreciate how awesome it is that Miles is animated on 2s rather than what everyone is until he is able to embrace being Spider-Man. 😁 The creases in the faces are actually hand animated in 2D over top of the 3D. I love that you call out Peter B. as so different than the Spider-Man we know because he is our Spider-Man. Peter B. is from our 616 universe. He's further along in that timeline. And there is a Spider-Man with a cape. Two in fact: one that was more of a performer and the other was the Sorcerer Supreme.

I know you two aren’t very familiar with the comics, but Miles Morales and the Spider-Man that dies in the beginning, including his villains (Kingpin, Doc Oc, Prowler, & Goblin) are actually based on the Ultimate Marvel Universe in the comics. It was created in 2000 to reinvent and modernize Marvel’s comic universe and staple characters. The Ultimate universe is known as Earth-1610 in the Multiverse. There are many other clues to show this world is not our own, like the Koca-Soda advertisements. The older Spider-Man introduced after Ultimate Spidey’s death is indeed the Spider-Man that we all know and love, and is based on the main canon Marvel Comics universe and timeline, known as Earth-616. Not only does he introduce himself as Peter Benjamin Parker, but we see him swing by a Coca-Cola advertisement showing that is it “our world” and he is our Spidey.

When people talk about AI writing programs, AI art, etc., this movie comprises some of the best arguments against them. AI programs as we know them today aren't capable of the expression that this movie is absolutely drenched in. An AI writer would've never thought to show Miles's leap of faith inverted into his ascension into Spider-Man. And it damn sure wouldn't have considered Miles starting in a lower frame rate and eventually matching the others as he becomes a fully fledged Spider-Man.

I like how the movie does a lot of foreshadowing too. The line of "Maybe I'm not late, you guys are early" foreshadowing his inability to keep up with the other Spider-People. Uncle Aaron's ability to so easily get over the locked gate foreshadowing him as the Prowler.

Posting this before the premier. Wondering if you noticed it or not during the movie. FUN FACT: The older Spider-Man and world was animated at 24 FPS to make it seem like he was more experienced and smoother with his movement since he has been at it for a long time. Miles was animated at 12 FPS to make him seem jerky, unsure and clumsy as he didn't know his powers for most of the movie. Brilliant design choice when it came to the animation. As the movie continues, Miles slowly is animated to match the 24 FPS as he gets used to being Spider-Man. Where they are swinging in the forest side-by-side is a great place to see what I mean if you didn't notice it. Once Miles gets his suit at the end of the movie, he is a full 24fps animation. This movie was amazing and definitely one of my favorite animated movies as well as Spider-Man movies. Edit: Yep, you noticed it or already knew about it. Also, Peter Porker VA is the big bad in Puss in Boots as well.

I was so worried about this. And behold, it's absolutely fantastic. Vaguely rips a story line from the comic books, but it's an amazing visual treat. Great stuff.

One scene I really like in the movie (technically two scenes) is how him first trying to jump from a building and letters going "AAAAH" as he falls is paralleled by the scene of him jumping in the black Spiderman suit with full confidence and its him going up with "WOOOOO" instead. Love that

I'm shock that you dudes are just NOW reacting to Spiderman Into the SpiderVerse! Like I thought you guys have already reacted to this movie. But hey better late then never huh? Seriously this move has got to be one of my most top favorites animated movies. I also love how other animation studios are taking inspiration from Spiderverse with them being more experimental and getting way more creative with 3D animation, that showcases the limitless boundless extreme creativity of what animation is capable of Instead of always going with the typical basic polish 3d standard look in most 3d animated movies.

24 fps is the standard rate at which sound film moves through a projector. So that would be the absolute maximum for any animation shot on movie film. Maybe you could do more digitally, but I'm not sure it would read. Movies and tv work by taking advantage of the fact that when people are shown a quick series of still images showing progressive movement, their brains fill in the missing part of the action so that the movement appears to be continuous.

With this movie, Miles runs at 24 or 30 frames per second while everyone and everything else runs at 60. Then, once Miles becomes Spiderman and figures out who he needs to be, then they changed him to 60 fps to show he became the best version of himself and he knows what he needs to do. The best part to see this is when they are swinging through the forest and you see Miles lagging behind while he spins. If you watch the movie again, you'll see what I mean. The suits in the underground base were different suits from the other comics and media. You can see the PS4 game suit there, the electric proof suit, the iron spider suit, the spider armor suit, and the stealth suit to name a few there. Kingpin is mostly a villain in the comics that runs organizations of crimes or tries to fight the crimes and commits his own from what I remember. I haven't really checked it out in a while. And in the comics, he's a larger guy that buff and takes on Spiderman in a few fights when he runs into him. I don't think he has any powers or anything, but like I said, I haven't really checked it out in a while and don't know everything. And the last Spiderman in the end credit scene is Spiderman 2099, from you guessed it, 2099. I think he got his powers by replicating what happened to Peter or getting his powers off a blood sample. I never really read those comics, so that may not be true. I know a good amount of Spiderman stuff as he's my favorite superhero, and I based my channel off him as well. Thanks for reading.

Heya Whitenoise! I love your reaction videos and enjoy watching you relish in amazing filmmaking all the time! I have a suggestion for something for you to react to! It’s a bit different from your usual content. It’s actually a story driven adventure game called, “To The Moon” by freebird games! It has such an amazing story to it, I consider it my favorite play of all time! It’s actually being made into a movie, and the music is amazing! It’s so very precious to my heart, and I want to share my love for it with others, as it’s a diamond in the rough type game. It’s not well known. You can get it both on steam and on switch! Thank you so much for making such amazing content and I look forward to seeing more! 💜

28:02 Let's go: 1. Tombstone is the guy at the bottom. Pale white skin, enhanced strength, durability, the works. 2. The three guys above him are the Enforcers: Ox, Montana and Fancy Dan. Not much more than your regular thugs, merely with a gimmick each, but they were introduced super early in the comics, so they have some staying power. 3. The guy with the big head on the right is Hammerhead. His power is that he's got a really thick head (I think eventually he got a really thick metal plate in it) and he headbutts people with it. 4. The guy in the mask, I think, is The Rose, another crime boss in New York - fun fact, originally he was actually Kingpin's son, Richard Fisk. But I only assume it's The Rose based on what might be a rose on his lapel, because there were actually several crime bosses with these balaclava-style masks running around trying to be big dog.
