I don't entirely agree but, I get what you mean. I'm the same way when I see a couple make out in public. They aren't shoving anything in your face, they're just being indecent. As for the holding hands part, I think couples usually hold hands in public for each other. They don't really care about the company around them. They aren't shoving any straightness down your throat, they just so happen to be a very affectionate straight couple. But, of course people who intentionally do so to show the public how *straight* they are do exist.

as someone from academia I wanna defend that post about the person who's BF asked a super-specific question on their research project presentation. That isn't something that like should be underscored because the way I read it is partner 1 has a difficult task to present in an important circumstance. partner 2 just wants to help their partner to reiterate a point that may not have been fully conveyed earlier in the presentation. Sometimes it is hard to properly highlight the important things when presenting research projects and thus partner 2 allows them the opportunity to drive home again another important point again. Sometimes, you just wanna nerd out on your favorite detail when presenting a topic but it might not be the main detail and thus partner 2 just presented an opportunity to expand upon it and let partner 1 nerd out again. IDK I haven't ever seen this post and thought "wow the hetereos are not okay" but instead have just seen a couple where they are supporting each other.

Same yall, gotten a bit obsessed over lgbtq+ stuff since I've wanted to come out to my parents, but I haven't been able to because of so much (social)anxiety. So I have to wait until I become emotionally numb (yeah they still haven't realised i have depression, I've hidden it quite well up until now) I've been numb a couple of times already but it never works out. Good news is i had one of those days were you realise something about the universe and life, (I get those after being in a bad place for a while and NO I was not intoxicated, high or anything, I'm just an empath and have a weird brain) so I had a really good day or two which was nice. But I think I'm getting bad again which is not so nice.
