"Look to your elder people, let him be an example" is a line, unbeknownst to Loki, about both the old man and Steve. Both of them are "elders" and BOTH are examples. @Paul WT Interesting take. However, as someone of Nordic ancestry, I gotta say I do not care. Idris Elba did a fine job with the character. And I find I rather humorous that Valkyrie, a character who kidnaps people and sells them into slavery as deathmatch gladiators for beer money is played by a Black woman - and the SJW crowd who cheered that casting choice didn't really seem to notice that she is literally portraying what they claim white people are.
@poggies76394 жыл бұрын
@Paul WT I mean even the marvel comics aren’t true to the actual Norse gods so I think casting Idris was fine
@Sigart4 жыл бұрын
@Paul WT So, when I first watched Thor, I was also a bit offended that, not that any aesir was cast as black, but that Heimdal of all of them were, considering that his moniker is literally "the bright one" in that he's supposed to be so shining and light that you can't look at him directly. But then, you know what? I thought about it, and I realised that that was an idiot thougth to have because Idris Elba totally has that presence, you know? Like, a person so good that youyou have to look away less your own flaws are high-lighted in his presence. Also, it was hypocritical, considering my early-life non-reaction to casting, say, Cleopatra as white. Also, I was way more offended that they cast Odin as being benevolent, tbh. Like, seriously offended. Odin was not a benevolent king and he was not kind and he was not fatherly. He was so horrible he was _literally exiled from Asgard at one point._ This was not a misunderstanding or anything like that; Odin was always greedy and manipulative and power hungry and had no scruples whatsoever. If you're going to get offended on "Nordic people's behalf", could you do us a favour and be offended at the right things?

@Paul WT I assume NW means New world, yes? I'm sorry to tell you this, but that means you are not European, and even if you were, you've clearly demonstrated a complet lack of understanding or respect for the actual Norse mythology. @@ratspike8017 But that's the point of the Easter Egg isn't it? Not really necessary for the story at hand, just a nod and a smile for those that have been along for the ride for a while. I'm sure 70% of the MCU audience doesn't spot most of the Easter Eggs. Hopefully, it spurs them on to go digging and learn more about the source material.

He didn't say it as a question though. Why is so much said today, said with a question mark behind it as if it is a question even though it's a statement or just a sentence?.. An example is americans (especially those from California) they sometimes fire off a sentence and make it sound like a question, or that they are questioning what they're doing/about to do.. That's called uptalk, and it should be illegal, makes people sound stupid.

This comment is late, but talking about the appearance of Loki's face when he appears via the tessaract. That image, looking down his face with the huge grin, is an iconic Loki image used frequently in the comics. That Tom Hiddleston and the camera direction pulled this off so well was a big nod to the comic book fans, and so quickly helps emphasize Loki's character.

My theory is that both Hulk and Banner controls each other depending on how or what made them transform into Hulk. We often see Banner get attacked by something and when that happens, he transforms in the Hulk yet he attacks anyone and doesn't care who he hurts, that means Hulk was in full control of his body. But when Banner tried to transform at his will, that's when he gains the full control of the Hulk, the example would be his final fight with the Abomination and the "I'm always angry" scene in the Avengers (2012).

The pilot wasn’t trying to kill the hulk, he was trying to distract him so he wouldn’t continue destroying the ship..
@Tantalus0104 жыл бұрын
I always thought it was a good thing that the pilot got as close as he did. If he fired at the Hulk from too far away, the Hulk would've just thrown some debris at the jet to knock it out of the sky, then kept wrecking the helicarrier.
@danelmore65534 жыл бұрын
It always seemed odd to me when people don't get that the objective had to be to get hulk off the carrier. At this point there was no other way to prevent him from ripping the ship apart. One jet is a small price to pay, to save the carrier.
