ah yes my pc mouse died the other day also. Lucky I got a pet store not far so was able to replace it quick. Sometimes the exhaust fans suck them up if you don't have a mesh on the inside. In my case it died from exhaustion/heat stroke. Was doing a Crisis marathon.

@@joer8854 It's an AT-style computer which means only the absolute highest-end configurations even require a CPU fan. Chances are it's probably a 486 where even a heatsink is optional. So there wouldn't be heat issues since it produces so little heat.

8:40 that's exactly what I was going to do for my build, before I realized the 16x slot was only one bracket away from the PSU, so I put it in a full-sized case instead. Turns out you can buy a serviceable chunk of aluminum for like 20 bucks.

On The Verge's PC... Honestly, I didn't expect anything else, at the time. How could a cadre of lifestyle tech journalists that barely cover the more pro-sumer aspects of Android be expected to so much as *care* about PC builds? Tower rigs are of no interest to them, they're not portable, they can't serve as an easily producible fashion statement, and the fact that nobody in-office tried to correct Stefan Etienne on the use of staggered RAM slots for dual-channel support speaks volumes in and of itself.
