the people at the old folks home getting tatted are absolutely adorable. I especially love the ones getting neck and face tats, and I mean hey they're at a point in life where that sort of tat isn't gonna make them loose out on any opportunities so it's just great seeing them just have fun like this without any inhibitions.

Hey Kirk I’m 17 and don’t plan to get tatted until im a few months into being 18, your videos helped me out a ton on what to look out for man I didn’t know the tattoo industry was this complicated.

Research research research. It took me about a year to find an artist I thought was good enough to make permanent changes to my body. And then another 6 months after being on a wait list. I’m 3 out of about 8 sessions in on my sleeve(going to take about a year in total). Getting good tattoos can take patience but is so worth it.

Don’t believe the hype. There’s a ton of great artists doing “affordable” work out there. And tbh most people don’t care at all what your tattoos look like, have fun, do a bit of research on the artist and get some tattoos. Most people that get these super expensive sleeves end up getting cheesy stuff so it really comes down to being self aware and personal style.

I met a guy in ithe mid 70s who got a tattoo when he was in Viet Nam. By chance I ran into him in the early 90s. The tattoo was an Indian head dress with bright feathers. It was just as bright as when I first met him. He said the ink was made from berry juice.

I would call the sunflowers a blastover more than a coverup. The red tattoos aren't my thing. I haven't seen any all red tats that aged well. But maybe with the new ink technology maybe in the future they'll age better. I guess we have to wait and see

That first coverup is good, I think they did the best with what they had other than just blasting it all black. The covered up blob kinda makes sense in the sunflowers . The all red will be gone in a decade. Coming from someone who got a tattoo, very good tattoo with deep dark red in it...all that red is gone , 100% gone and you would never know it was there. Tattoo is 24 years old. Only color I have on me other than black that stayed in a dark blue on my upper arm. I will never get red again. 99% of my tattoos are black, black, more black and shading. Soon ill have a blasted right arm.

Hey now, I like lions! Though you aren't wrong, like 90% of lion tats are 'bad taxidermy' levels of not-good. My first tat ever was a lion, though not a realistic one. I adapted an ancient Scythian design I found in an archeology journal instead. Never seen another person with anything similar!
