I'm flattered you think I've got alright taste 😅 my collection is the anonymous one at the 3:45min mark Also I just read all of Boys Run the Riot cause you mentioned it in a previous video and can confirm it's pretty good - a solid manga. I also start YMP because you akways mention how much you like it and so far it's been great! I know these videos are a lot of work. I really enjoyed it! it's nice to see how far manga has come and how many more people are enjoying it. I remember back in high school I would hide I liked it because back then it was considered weird, so seeing all these awesome collections that bring people joy makes me happy. anyway - sorry for the essay! you did awesome!!! p.s. my favourite quote from the video "to each their own Kodansha we appreciate you we don't always like you all the time" 🤣

It’s a real struggle trying to collect banana fish 😩. I’m still missing 9 volumes of it. But at least according Barnes and Noble’s they have some that are supposed to be restocked in June and September. So if anyone else to trying to collect banana fish I hope this helps you 💛

yooo i didn't even think to check if there was a reprint date for any of the volumes i'm missing, so glad, hopefully it doesn't get pushed back, i've had all the volumes ordered from rightsuf for over a year now, i consider myself a pretty patient person but the wait time for a lot of the viz shojo reprints has been a chore

@@tsukkinotes I’ve noticed the past month or two that Barnes and Noble’s restock dates have been more or less accurate. Sometimes they restock a little later, like a few days or a week, that what it originally said. This is at least true for the manga I’ve been getting. Let’s hope it stays that way 🤞🏻

I'm so close to finishing the series 😢 But I would give Prince of Tennis a shot! It's not my favorite but I did just finish getting the whole series so I'm going to try and finish it soon! i was going to say "aw man i wish i had known you did this again" but then i saw that this closed in december so i'll save it lol! imo it's perfectly ok to not have seen/not like avatar, it's one of those things that everyone pushes for people to experience and i've never been able to get into it because of that (same thing with harry potter and percy jackson, lol). also the comment abour viz taking forever to reprint their shoujo series is SO TRUE! i have a theory that their shounen/seinen series are both more popular and make more money for viz, so their shoujo/josei series are less of a concern for them. which is sad, because lots of people love shoujo/josei and would buy the manga if they were in stock!! they also have issues with putting out the next volumes in a reasonable timeframe. sorry for the massive rant, i just have very strong feelings about this lol

Behind the scenes is pretty good. It’s not as great as her other series but it’s definitely different from her usual genres! The story is pretty much about students who work behind the scenes of movies and plays, they pretty much took in the main character to work with them. The main character has great skills but his personality is very shy! I actually haven’t finished it the series yet cause I’m busy reading others 😅 but it’s definitely a good read!!! Ty btw for putting me into the video 💕💕

I couldn’t get into jujutsu Kaisen either. My brother loves it but I couldn’t at all, just didn’t click. Not sure if you mentioned this before, but Moriarty the patriot is an amazing series I would recommend too 👏👏

@@tsukkinotes I would say you don't really need to know about sherlock to understand it. the characters will pop up and you'll get surprised without any prior knowledge at least. it's just fun seeing how the sherlock characters are used but the author also adds other notable figures, not in the sherlock series.

Oresama teacher is one of my fav shoujo releases! While the teacher does play a role in the story, it is not really romantic. (In general despite being a shoujo, romance is like the back burner in this story). This is mostly a friendship and comedy manga and I highly recommend it if you enjoy Nozaki kun. Same misunderstandings between characters causing hilarious events to read type of flow.

I really enjoyed this video, and I am always looking forward for when you will upload. Me and my sister was watching this video together waiting for my collection to show up, so that was really fun. Since you were curious about the Captivated by you manga, the mangaka is currently really popular in Japan. Her current ongoing series have already sold 2.1 million copies with just 2 volumes, and each volume has already gotten reprinted over 10 times, the 1st volume has gotten reprinted 21 times. Her other work has also gotten licensed by yen press, and it is called Let's go karaoke (not a bl). The comedy in her series are really great apparently, but I only read one chapter of Captivated by you, and I did enjoy it so far. As for seaside stranger and the age gap part, they meet when one of them is a minor (17 years old), but then they leave and don't come back until 3 years later, so the minor is now an adult and is 20 years old (the other guy is 27). They don't really do much before he leaves, but I do sense a bit of attraction from the adult before the minor leaves the island, but nothing happens. If you find that okey, then you can check it out because their relationship is not bad at all, but not something I would condone in real life. There are some really awesome conversations (internalized homophobia and about communication) that take place in this manga, but do be aware that there is homophobia from one of the characters families (in flashback). Though we don't see much from them in the first part of the series, but in the second part SPOILER WARNING: they move to his childhood home where his family is currently residing and that is where is stopped reading. I stopped so that I can continue with the physical copies, but I am not interested currently.

Gah, there were so many beautiful and impressive collections in this video!! 🤩 And thank you so much for your kind words, I feel honoured to be featured in this video. 👉👈 MARS is so good; I'm really excited for you and interested to hear what you think once you've finished it. 👀 The series gets WAY darker the deeper you get, so many twists and turns. I highly recommend you check out Avatar the Last Airbender television series, it’s fantastic. Also, I recently read Mashle: Magic and Muscles and I feel like it’s definitely worth checking out. As for Blood on the Tracks, I wouldn’t describe it as scary, I’d say it’s more disturbing and unsettling than anything else. Lastly, after watching this video, I’ve come to the conclusion that I need to look into Banana Fish. 🍌😆 Wonderful video, always super fun to see all the different submissions and to hear your thoughts on them. ♡♡

I don’t think blood on the tracks is that scary, some parts are definitely disturbing. But I think that’s expected of Shuzo Oshimi’s works! I think the reason I found it less scary was because it dealt less with perversion like that than flowers flowers of evil. And more to deal with manipulation. At least as far as I’ve read(vol 8). Don’t get me wrong though, there are a few scenes that were very uncomfortable dealing with perverted stuff. I personally really like it and thinks it’s super interesting so far!

thank you for the insight! and i see, interesting that it focuses more on the manipulation themes, those were the best parts of flowers of evil imo though so maybe i will like it, i wasn't super keen on the perversion stuff lol (another reason i haven't picked it up as well is because everyone says the volumes go by so fast so i hesitate to invest when i can finish a book in like 10 minutes, i should scope out my library)
