another unpopular opinion of mine: the anthology should’ve been released a fortnight after the standard, it would’ve fit the twos and I think (for me) every song needs to be analyzed with calm and everyone was freaking out and fighting over the 31 songs with the time space, we could’ve digested the standard version and would’ve been ready for the next overwhelming drop

I think the Anthology should have been the part one and tortured poets songs should have been on the less listened to second half. The first half, the poetic songs were for the public and the lore songs could have been more for the fans since they would appreciate the specificity more

I seen someone's theory about this and it makes sense that it was intentionally supposed to be overwhelming. Pining after someone for 10 years only for it to last basically a fortnight. It's a lot of feels all at once. Throw on top of that he was very problematic and everyone in the world was telling her that.

The Anthology/Black Dog cover art immediately struck me as tortured. She looks like she's writhing in pain, but her face also says she's so tired of being let down. As I look at it longer, it also starts to look like she's starting to relax, aka let it go as she thinks about it, lets herself feel all the feels, lean into it, and heal. 20:09 Taylor has always been one to throw in quirky lyrics, her silliness is something that we all love about her! In my opinion, I adore how she throws in little lyrics that we might not understand, but might mean something to her as an inside joke or as a fond memory. "We declared Charlie Puth should be a bigger artist" I think was probably an example of this, kinda like with "hang your head low in the glow of the vending machine, i'm not dying." That's how I read it, or maybe she knew it was a cringe/sarcastic thing to say, but her life is cringe and sarcastic and she's never shied away from that ;) "A red rose grew up out of ice frozen ground with no one around to tweet it" is a pretty clear message to me, the whole song is about how she is trying to avoid real life, the "hunters with cell phones" and even in her most peaceful moments of escapism, she's always jerked back into reality. That part is supposed to jar you out of that ethereal dreamland, because it's not real. Just how I've perceived those lyrics, love your vids Nena 😊🩷 Your TTPD reaction video was my favorite with your sister as the albatross. 😂

On April 19 when my boyfriend read the Charlie Pugh lyric out loud (before we listened to the album) I said “surely it is Post malone lyric from Fortnight”, God I was wrong! But that verse is still one of the funniest verses to sing out loud and I love it (my boyfriend has a different opinion 😂) The lakes has two lyrics placing it in the modern era and it’s okay. It’s a top tier song in her discography.

That first one definitely hurt. I'm a new Swiftie who only got into Taylor's music after she met Travis and I started seeing her during the NFL. As someone who got into Taylor Swift coming from a background where my other favorite artists are Paul McCartney and Elton John, all my top tier songs are her Piano tracks. She's just talented at literally everything she does and can go from an upbeat track with amazing dancing in front of 100k people on the Eras tour, and then go right into something like Champagne Problems or LOML right after.

Might be clowning again, but I think there are folklore/evermore vault tracks out there

Re: The Manuscript; its not a song you can sing along to but I get so emotional when I listen to it. It feels like a song that reveals a lot about her emotions and mindset at this time .Kinda like Dear Reader. It seems like an examination of her dating patterns and their point of origin .As if everytime she comes out of a toxic relationship she looks back to one specific relationship in the past when she started chasing a certain type of man .As if she has to continuously touch on that point in her life and how it rewired her brain . The Bolter also seems to refer to dating patterns that she has possibly exhibited numerous times .Also Peter really gives an insight into her mindset over a long period

my opinion about TTPD and The Anthology is that TTPD looks more like an album but The Anthology, you can listen it as a random playlist. I mean it has songs which reflects different emotions. Idk what else to say besides cope. -Robin is a top 3 song for me, it ties together a lot of the themes of the grief that comes with losing your childhood that’s woven throughout the project. -so many opinions have been formed about this album/ era without even giving it a chance. It’s probably too soon to say but if you ask me it's an absolute masterpiece, one of her best, and people need to let go of what it was "supposed" to be (i.e what **they** wanted it to be) and appreciate its artistic merits.

Love this video! I also don't like much the covers of most of the versions of TTPD... The most beautiful ones are the ones of the acoustic versions (not available in France of course :') ) and it's a strange choice! I have a few opinions: 1. ME! Is actually an amazing song, and it only got hate because of the "hey kids, spelling is fun!" (admit it, you listen to it when you're sad. I see you 🤨) 2. The Tortured Poets Department is very different from her previous albums because the songs are long and slow. 3. Eras Tour tickets should be around $50-$100 for one ticket. 4. Rep TV will be announced in London because the End Game MV was filmed in London. 5. Rep TV is taking so long to be announced because Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, and Future all need to have enough time for End Game to be recorded. Does anyone agree or disagree? Let me know!

Red and Evermore are one of the best albums she has because of the variety. You don’t want songs blending in with each other into one big mess unless it is purposefully done so with a lot of care and talent like Tyler the creator or Frank Ocean do it, for example.
