More than half a year before the release of Conqueror, they played it on their European tour. We all didn't know the song, but we tried to sing along as best we could. You can experience what an epic it has become if you watch it as the closing song of their Line Cube Shibuya concert...highly emotional!

Like Daydreaming, Page, and a few others, Saiki's performance of this song , plus her little speech at the beginning of the song made the dust kick up really bad. Either that or it's the Onion Ninjas that Gary talks about.

One of the things about Kanami's solo is that the song has transitioned into a full-on upbeat triumphant feel but the guitar is still bittersweet.

I’ve said this before but when Kamani wrote this she wanted it as an anthem. I didn’t really get that feeling from this video. Then I was in the audience when they performed it in Dallas with crowd singing along. It absolutely IS an anthem.

Along with Conqueror, "Endless Story" caused some consternation between the Maidiacs as being too poppy. The Maids released "Rinne" 3 months later, nuff said.😈

You called it. This is an arena type song, a beautiful one at that, and it was their closing song at their Shibuya concert in 2020 before covid hit. It's spectacular, the crowd participation really hits the spot. Some folks don't like this song a lot but I adore it. Listen to it first thing in the morning while you drink your coffee and you'll feel INVINCIBLE for the rest of the day. Rock on, Po! 🕊️🤘🖤😎

Yeah, what Vere said! I thought it an odd choice as the closer for Line Cube until a few listens - and then I loved it - an emotional and memorable way to end a concert. Also, just saw the setlist for their Pre-US Okuji yesterday! Holy crap I love every song- well, I could honestly say that about all of their songs...

Funny you say that. This was the closer of the famous Shibuya Line Cube show. Play -> Domination -> Endless Story.......perfect ending to a live show..... And glad you caught the color change. Not a lot of folks catch that in their vids.... And Kanami's guitar "singing" is the Santana influence. Santana always said he envisions his guitar talking when he plays. Of course, he says his guitar is saying cuss words.....🤣

I think our tastes are similar - I'm with you on loving the mid-tempo and slower songs even more than their fast ones, for the most part anyway. Of course I love them all because I'm a full blown addict. A wise man (maybe Gary) once said that people won't remember what you said, but they'll never forget how you maid them feel. Their hard groove songs and slower ones are by and large the favorites of my favorites. God this band is awesome!

There's more to musicianship than just playing the notes. Kanami's solo is exhibit A. As guitar solos go it's easy enough to play the notes, but to make it sing like that... It's Santana-like. They are on Oshima Island, a volcanic island at the very mouth of Sagami Bay / Tokyo Bay, between the Izu peninsula and the Bōsō Peninsula. There's nothing between them and the Americas but a whole lot of Pacific Ocean.

Guys, we got him! Or I better should say, Kanami got him with her so unique 'voice'. :) And quite rightly so. A solo, which is also one of my favourites from her. As is the whole song, which indeed has quite an anthem feel to it, which I like a lot. And the images of the video and the colour styles go perfectly with it. I won't get tired of saying that there are usually as many details in their videos as in their songs. Hi SB. Your reaction to Band-Maid's Endless Story just popped up on my recommended videos. I know you went above and beyond reacting to them so I wanted you to know they released an official live version from their 10th Anniversary Tour Final at Yokohama Arena performed last November.
