The Maids are back in the US in May playing a music festival in Daytona FL.

I wonder if they are going to add a mini tour along with it. I can't see flying all the way over from Japan for 30-40 minute festival set.

Saiki, please tell us how you really feel... I would NEVER want that woman mad at me. She would Unleash the Pigeon, the Assassin and the Gorilla after me. While the Princess played melodic guitar while I was beaten to a pulp.

Even in her misheard lyrics! Someone said that at the very end of Sense, it sounds like Saiki is saying, "Eat all my shit, go." Now it totally sounds like that to me too! Yeah, you don't want to piss Saiki off. 🤣

Saiki has always sounded very comfortable with lower pitches. She's an alto, which by itself is very cool and sets them apart from the other great Japanese rockers. Gives her more power.

In an interview, Saiki said she had been watching a lot of the Simpson and heard Bart yell “I hate you, I hate you, I hate you” at Homer. She like the cadence of it and thought it was cool. Of course the song has deeper meaning than that. 😂

Great job with sticking to it and reacting to the whole discography! I hope you get a chance to see them live!

Like you said, Kanami has the magic touch. Add the brilliant musicianship of the rest of the band...

Interesting that you weren't so keen on Kanami's "weird" guitar parts, that was one of the things that hooked me instantly on the band. Yeah, aside from the alternate versions I think you're only left with rarities like Bitter Sweet Love and Want More! and oddities like Hard Wash. Congrats you did it before the end of the year!

Great song! Second Saiki lyric song, I don't want her this mad at me! Kanami unleashed!

"Kanami is at it again with the wacky guitar stuff going on in the background." That's part of the "Band-Maid Sound" everyone marvels at. How can they do such different songs that still sound like Band-Maid? And Saiki is just brutal in this: _"Ten minutes or so of shitty exercise \ It's not that a big deal but \ You have a grand big attitude"_

Also, here’s a suggestion. Check out Lovebites new song. The addition of their new bassist, Fam, has made quite a difference. I wasn’t really a fan of thief previous stuff, but so far like Lovebites 2.0.

Hey SBR! It's good to see you back on here again. If you are thinking about another band, I think you would really like Trident, Lovebites, Hagane, Glim Spanky, Tokyo Groove Jyoshi, The Jazz Avengers, Nemophila, and I'm sure I could come up with several more bands if you are interested. Anyway, I hope you are having a great night!

Sometimes knowing the lyrics of the song is bad for it, like Don't Let Me Down for example, and I think that's the reason Hate? didn't get me that much. Don't get mistaken, still love it, it's a great song but, I don't feel the hate in their voices nor instruments and that doesn't add it any points. When I listen to Black Hole I can picture an actual black hole coming to get me, Hate? nah, it's as if a 4 year old kid tells me she hates me. The song shoulda been called "Dislikeness... A Bit?". Of course it's just my opinion, many will not agree but I had to take it outta my chest. They are so perfect that any little detail feels massive. Now let me replay it for the thousandth time and headbang to it while trying to sing along with Saiki 🤘🕊️

Maybe it's that when most people say, "I hate you," they're upset and angry - the object of the hate got under their skin in a big way - whereas when Saiki says it, it's more just a statement that yes, the person is indeed so lame that they actually irritated her for 90 seconds. To me, that flat dismissive delivery at the end, instead of dramatic rage screaming, is more cutting. (Though that interpretation is undercut by the fact that there's a whole song about it.)

@@stevehall5128 Yeah, to me it's like a spoiled teen's tantrum towards her daddy for not buying her the last Iphone model on the market (except for the sausage disfunction reference). When you hate somebody and tell them face to face, there's supposed to be dramatic rage imo and I don't feel enough wrath coming from the song. Usually Ka(na)mi makes me feel the emotion intended through the song, just not this time. I think something similar to Rinne woulda been more fitting 🤘🕊️

The only thing I hate about this song is Miku's guitar part is too low in the mix. After hearing her play it live it's now impossible to not hear it. That's how good it is.

The drumming in this one is amazing- but also the lyrics! Id normally say keep subs off but in THIS case- they are SO harsh its kinda funny! They made me laugh and wince! I was hoping you'd read them after at least. So please go read the lyrics now for yourself- and be glad no woman thinks of you like that lol. p.s You have not done the Genshin impact concert song they played - the dawn winery theme right? Did you know of it? kzbin.info/www/bejne/ppjagZWlacqifa8 Each band just played a cover of a song from the game- this is theirs, it's very nice!
