It’s been a pleasure, over the last few days, to watch you experience and appreciate the other-worldly talent of Led Zeppelin. You’re right they are all insanely talented and essential… but Jimmy, well it all begins with Jimmy… he had the idea for a band, picked the three other members, wrote most of the music, produced all the albums himself… Led Zeppelin is Jimmy Page’s masterpiece. The next step for you, i think is to keep going with this concert… two of the best ever: First: “the song remains the same/the rain song” MSG 73 -two songs that fit together. The first part is a fast and incredibly technical guitar showcase that then transitions into the most gorgeous and majestic ballad of all time. Guaranteed to hit you hard. Then, “No Quarter” MSG 73 Another amazing version with great organ parts and the most intense guitar solo Sorry, I could go on forever… but no joke, you have just scratched the surface of Led Zeppelin, they have Soooo much more in store for you ;)

It's so gratifying and self-validating to see people your age discover and appreciate the genius that is Led Zeppelin. I discovered Zeppelin back in 1972 when I was 13 years old and have been obsessed ever since. I encourage you to explore both their live and recorded works. They are masterful, but totally different, in both settings. Their live shows are so dynamic and as you say "free spirited", while their records are tight and brilliant. Enjoy this ride, and don't neglect Plant's solo work after Led Zeppelin. His new album "Raise the Roof" with Allison Krauss is beautiful. Great reaction young lady!

Ari, your reaction to this song actually gives me hope for the future, if you can believe it. I mean, for you to have gone through this extreme musical exploration and actually appreciate it, to the point that it brought you to tears! That says a lot. This kind of music and way of making music doesn't exist anymore. But if you can appreciate it that much, it gives this guy from an older generation, who is dismayed by most of music and art from today's society, hope and optimism for the future. Thank you!

Something also interesting to know is that for this tour Zeppelin were using one of the first Stereo PA Systems provided by ShowCo in Dallas Texas. If you can imagine being in the room, all that swirling and delayed violin bow guitar was circling around the new Left and Right PA channels. It must have been a total mind F**k for all those Hippies in the audience in 1973 to hear one of the first stereo concerts that we're so used to these days.

Welcome to the Greatest band to ever grace the stage. They were then they are today, and will forever be tomorrow. In the year 2525 the alien nation will be listening to Led Zeppelin. 4 masterful musicians the likes that will never be seen again. Don't worry about the tears I still get tears and I was sharing them with you . And I have been listening to them since 1976. Every live performance is different even Jimmy says they have no idea where the songs are going to go . They had this musical ESP and they could go in any direction, maybe at any time . So unique. I have watched all your Zep reaction videos I love your appreciation for just how insanely talented these 4 musical gods are. The stars were aligned for these 4 guys to come together. Here are a couple of suggestions for you then a piece of advice. Suggestions : 1973 msg "The Song Remains The Same/ The Rain song". Then "No Quarter". Then do 1975 st Earls court. "IN MY TIME OF DYING." and the Acustic set with "GOING TO CALIFORNIA" and "THATS THE WAY. " and their last ever reunion concert st the O2 areana. Check out Kashmire. The are in their latest 60's ibelieve and playing with John Bonhams son Jason on the drums .it will blow you away. Honestly there are no bad Zeppelin songs only timeless masterpieces. Ok now for the advice. To really understand and see the diversity of Zeppelin hou need to start at the beginning with LZ 1 side one and listen to the music how Jimmy produced it to be herd. Playing the full album because it will take you places that you can't understand jumping around . So start at the beginning trust me you will thank me for it. The journey it will take you on is unequaled. Every album and every song become your favorites all for different reasons. This rabbit hold is deep and will forever change the way you hear music for the rest of your life. Beginning to the end Every album in order side by side song to song

Four masters equal a Monster Group. Saw them LIVE 1975 Long Beach Arena Tickets $7.50 for a 3 hour tour . Heh. I wish I could take you all back to that night. Epic! Oh, Ari..you will freak.. but... I am 72 and back in 1967 The Yardbirds came to my little town of LaPorte Indiana with Jimmy and Jeff Beck on guitars. Clapton had left. Tickets; $1.50 for 2 hours at the local National Guard Armory and only about 125 people. During a break, Pagey came outside and joined me and a couple friends (he said to call him Pagey) and he asked and I gave him a Kool menthol cigarette. He was about your age then (so was I) and we chatted a few minutes until he got called back inside to play. i was blessed... now you know" the rest of the story". Great reaction! You should try reacting to “In my time of dying” at Earls Court in 1975. One of their very best live performances I’ve ever seen, and that’s saying a lot. Earls Court also has some good acoustic sets, like “Going to California”, “Bron-y-Aur Stomp” and “That’s the way”. It would also be worthwhile seeing some of their really early stuff, like “How many more times” from Denmark tv in 1969, or “whole lotta love” from The Royal Albert Hall show in 1970. As for Pink Floyd, do “comfortably numb” from The Pulse show, and from their live at Pompeii performance, do “Echoes”. After that, their Dark Side of the moon and Wish You were here albums, are my two favorite albums from them, and I really recommend you listen to them in their entirety. Good luck and enjoy!

What your seeing and hearing here in Dazed is: a work in progress from their very beginning in 1968. The song was constantly evolving thru the first few years of the early seventies….and right up til July of ‘73 when this film was shot. The ‘73 tour showcased the apex of their technical abilities. It went from March to July and was a mammoth tour. It took me thirty years to figure this Dazed out too. It can be too much at times! These guys were superheroes! A tremendous amount of listening has gone on by me. Look up some of the bootleg audio recordings from ‘73 and you’ll hear Dazed sound much like this. Seattle 7-17-73 or Buffalo 7-15-73 are standouts totally!

Excellent reaction! You touched on many things so let me see if I can answer some questions. Zeppelin was famous for their improvisation on stage so they could take a song and stretch it as long as they wanted. Robert would even add bits of other songs to it like he did when he started singing "If you're going to San Francisco"; that is from a different song by someone else. When Robert sings along or follows the guitar, it's called a "call and response" and was something found in a lot of blues songs. In this concert movie, each band member had a "fantasy" sequence because the film crew screwed up some of the filming so there were gaps in the video that had to be filled and this one is Jimmy's "fantasy". Jimmy climbing to the wizard/mage/hermit - whatever you want to call him, was filmed on his property in Scotland and is supposed to represent man's quest for enlightenment/wisdom and to realize it is within, if you can access it. The guys the cops were chasing were selling bootleg merch so they got kicked out. Jimmy had been using a bow on his guitar since he was a session musician. He wasn't the first to use it (believe it or not) but he was the first to get something remotely melodic out of it, so it "belongs" to him now. Please, don't forget to show bassist John Paul Jones some love - his contribution is immense. Here's another performance of theirs that might bring you to tears. It's called The Rain Song and it's from Earls Court. They have a version from the MSG concert movie, but it happens to be Robert's "fantasy" and I feel it detracts from the beauty of the song. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qpvJqWeKpq2Jf6M I adore Zep so let me know if I can ever answer any questions.

Don't worry about the tears- the great ones (Zep, Pink Floyd) know how to play emotions as well as their instruments... maybe even better. It is a joy to see you enjoy like we did all those years back- I'm happy for you. The call and response is a Blues thing- which is how Jimmy and Robert bonded; turning Blues into Blues Rock. If you have only a short time available, try the audio version of "You shook Me" where Robert's voice imitates Jimmy's guitar, then Jimmy makes his guitar sound like Robert's voice. It is incredible. Peace from Canada, be safe.

With Zeppelin what you see is what you get. At its core, zeppelin is a live band. Most acts tour to promote album sales. These guys (more or less) had the attitude of if you like the album, you should see us live. And the albums are some of the best rock albums ever.

Ari, another great reaction. Maybe it's time for you to feel the polished gems of some their studio recordings. One of Jimmy Page's greatest skills was the production and recording of Led Zeppelin studio albums. He had a clear vision of what he wanted the band to sound like, and he was able to achieve it with 3 other master musicians.

How? Creative genius + masterful musicians. This is what separates Led Zep from the rest, and likely always will. I've been enjoying their music for the last 50+ years. Since you've started to dive into Lep Zep, now you get to do the same. ;) This was a fabulous performance but if you want to hear what the song, Dazed and Confused, actually sounds like, listen to their studio version. Wonderful.

Watching you watching this is one of the most enjoyable things I´ve experienced for quite a while :) I´ve been listening to this regularly since 1990. It took me years to appreciate some of the things Jimmy does in this live performance. I was absolutely stunned to see with your reactions at certain moments that you "GOT IT!" immediately. I laughed with you and just felt so great to enjoy these stunning moments with you! Me sitting here going like "..I know! I know" nodding my head all smiling while seeing you "hearing" what was going on! I don´t know.. I don´t comment often.. but I loved watching and listening with you and also when you reacted to Since I´ve been loving you :) I´m a fan now 😊 Your sense for hearing music seems to be extremely well tuned! My favorit part is the last guitar solo from minute 24 till the end.

What you are missing in this, and that is very little, is the incredible interaction of Johm Paul Jones and John Bonham. The bass and drums drive the undercurrent of the music and these two were the masters that taught everyone else. Listen to them closely and you will see what is happening and learn how to tell a great bad that isn't just a good musician or two. You can see them both looking at each other as they are checking to see they are together and working on the same time. This is not meant as a criticism, but just a recommendation about how you can get even more from music. Love ya girl! You are fantastic. I hope you never lose your love for music, and always seek out the best of it!

It was an experience to watch your reaction. I would have liked to go to an Led Zeppelin concert with you. Jimmy already tried the violin bow in the Yardbirds, where he also played the sitar. He was always experimental.

Hello Ari - I know I'm late to react here, but I've only just recently discovered these reaction videos. Who knew I'd be so entertained watching these. Your reaction to Led Zeppelin is the best! I'm looking at my teenage self watching you discover them. It brings tears to my eyes watching you react to them. Like others have posted, you get them! Welcome to the club.

You and your reaction to this are probably one (two -- ?) of the most adorable things I've ever witnessed! You should -- as I've seen some others here suggest -- check out "The Song Remains the Same/The Rain Song" from this same concert, as well as "In My Time of Dying" from Earl's Court (1975). Maybe also the official video of "Travelling Riverside Blues" -- these last two are insane bottleneck-blues trips!

You should definitely check out a live performance of No Quarter. Also, after listening to a few more songs, check out Kashmir from the celebration day concert. It was a one off reunion concert when the living band members were in their late 60 and early 60s. I really think you’ll be blown away!
