Thanks for shouting me out 😊 I should have told you “Lose Yourself” is from the movie “8 Mile” and it’s based on his life story. His nickname in the movie is “Rabbit” (that’s why he says Rabbit and Mikai Feiffer was the actor that played Ems best friend that got him into rapping (his name was Proof and he was killed around 2006 and he was the closest person to him. He was beyond devastated and got heavily into drugs and almost died from an overdose but thank God he was given a second chance) but that’s why he says “this is no movie, there’s no Mikai Feiffer”. I think you’d enjoy the movie and learn a lot about Eminem as a person. Have a nice day!

You need to understand that the syllable rhyme scheme of this text is insane. A lot of lines also have lots of double meaning or others forms of wordplay. An example would be him saying “A new life is boring” but he pronounces “boring” as “borin” squashed together so it sounds like “born”. He wants to stay in his rap life because giving up and starting a new “normal” life would be boring. But he also talks about a new life being born because his daughters came into his life what made it even harder at the time
