Ethel is very very interesting musician and her debut album "Preacher's Daughter" is one of the best albums from 2022 imo. Amazing storytelling and genres blending

This song is the crescendo of a concept album, you should listen to the full album to really get the full story. It's a fantastic album as others have said and i highly recommend. The movie isn't really related, this song in the story of the album is the point where she is being murdered by the man who has kidnapped her and kept her strung out of her mind on drugs while he's been pimping her out on the streets of California.

Also I'm really glad you picked up on the chelsea wolfe influence, Ethel has lyrics from 16 Psyche tattooed on her hand so it's a bit of a giveaway to me that chelsea has had some influence on her music
