This game is the perfect mentality mix of "I can fix her" and "I can't fix her... But I sure can make her WORSE!"

The main task of "NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE" is to help the protagonist with mental illness to reach 1,000,000 KZbin subscriptions within a limited time. At the beginning, you will try your best to complete the one million subscriptions. Various endings will be triggered during this period. Includes a wide variety of normal and bad endings. It is difficult for you to play to a happy end. But you get to know the protagonist more and more from these endings. You can see that her mental state is very unstable. Her life is a mess. But she still loves the internet and people who like her. In the end, you will give up the task of completing the number of subscriptions, and start saving her. Because this game incorporates a lot of modern Internet events, as well as some things that will be encountered. So this game has a very strong sense of immersion. You will feel that the protagonist is also very real. You will feel like you are saving a real person.

Someone else answered it very well, but only if you play the game do you really understand that this song is a perfect encapsulation of the main character's incredibly poor mental health, and how she is using "becoming the internet's favourite idol" to cope with several issues that she has not been addressing. There are multiple endings that end with her either leaving you (the player) or killing herself because she isn't getting enough validation online and thinks her self-worth is tied to how many subscribers she has. She also can be very easily either goaded into an abusive relationship with you (the player) or become abusive herself depending on the route and how you play it out. The end of the song, where she says "love you" over and over again until the song breaks, is indicative of her instability and how after manic episodes she will try to "fix" problems between you and the player by suggesting you just have sex or saying she loves you a lot. Overall, despite the game's name she was written to be almost SCARILY realistically unhinged. Like the problems she is dealing with are very real and she's avoiding dealing with them by trying to become a streamer. As that other person mentioned, the "good ending" is very hard to get, but I believe it involves you saving her from herself in a way and realizing that she was unhealthy.

I like this It kinda explains what is the Internet culture in Japan( I dont mean that its 100% accurate) is like. The awsome and happy side and the dark and fucked up side. (not everyone is like that.) (also it does not ONLY go to Japan) I am not used to the Internet in the other country so I cant say its for all countries. As a Japanese, Japanese people on the internet can be fucked up. They were more fucked up in the 2010s. dont ask for examples.

@@nosdurh yeah Thats why I said not only Japan. But its the small parts that is for Japan. Like Idols or people who wants to become famous in like 2000~2010s The internet became big and they did anything to become famous, anything. and they become depressed and off themselfs. It was a big problem called Makuraeigyou枕営業. the companies make/force the girls have sox with rich people so they invest in the group or the girl. (not saying all of them offed themselves. 2010s Internet in Japan was crazy, They loved to see dead people. (Im not saying all. its the 2chan) So basically what is going on in youtube and tictok in America. Without the off themselfs. Also Im not trying to say I disagree I just wanted to say this. :3 Sorry If I made it a little agressive.
