Great reaction, I really like the way you edit your videos, some reactors do it badly, but your additions on screen of things like minions or cheerleaders are on point! I'd like to recommend "Spellbound" (live), it's very different then what you heared so far from them, but it's great song and performence ;)

You got it right, this video has references to their first OMV "Don't Bite The Dust" (2017)! "LOVEBITES EP II" (2024), the EP revisiting "The LOVEBITES EP" (2017).

Hey, thanks! Dancing cheerleaders? Notice Miyako at 4;19 your vid or 3;25 in original video, right after the "twin solo" she is bouncing & dancing (a first!). George's 'call' on "Don't Bite The Dust" is right-on as that was the first song on their debut "The LOVEBITES EP" from May 2017 and their first ever Music Video. "Unchained" is first song on and Music Video from 5-song "LOVEBITES EP II" as the first release written & performed including new bassist Fami throughout. A new beginning. My preference for LOVEBITES songs is very dependent on my 'mood' of the moment and this one does 'suit' some of these challenging 'times' in this crazy world, an uplift continuing their admonition to self-empowerment, personal-responsibility, empathy & unity. Although I suspect "Where's Identity" (currently audio only, but word is all songs not yet released LIVE will be included in the upcoming, beginning end-of-January Japanese Tour that includes shows in all the members home-towns) will be both Andrei's and George's favorite of the 5, I am STILL going to encourage you to take a step back to 2 songs I think will become your favorite 'pairing' of LOVEBITES whole catalogue! (though they may not pass "Break The Wall" which you seemed to regret having postponed watching for so long... years?) That pair of songs is LOVEBITES immaculate blends of classical-prog-thrash-metal, their continued transcendence of genre: "Paranoia > Dystopia Symphony" CD audio with [cc] lyrics: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r6aTf6qfeJZrr5I Haruna's drums slightly enhanced. (together they are a 12min story of the c0v!d era) As you both know, I have been very patient with this request, repeated while trying to avoid being annoying about it. Trust me! I remember myself being impressed (a gentle way to put it...) by the amount of musical ideas, changes and Progressive elements blended here into the LOVEBITES sound. The whole reason these two songs are not yet on every fan's playlist must be they were never recorded Live - which in today's world is a big deal, apparently. Coming from an EP and remaining on the EP. Maybe the ladies thought those being among their most adventurous and demanding compositions meant they would not go down as well with their main audience?... I am SURE they would go down a storm with Andrei and George, knowing how they prefer music. Yes, "Paranoia" and "Dystopia Symphony". Gotta listen to them now. Thanks, Dreg. :))) P. S.: Upon listening to your link, I think it is fair to mention that those are versions with the rhythm section made more prominent in the mix. While that is "Exhibit 1" for Haruna's dominance, I wonder if the album versions would be better for the first balanced impression, since all the instruments are doing A LOT in these songs!

To me this is a fusion of metal with American Gospel. The cadences, Asami's body language, the chorus, the lyrics ("Be Free!)--all of it is right out of a religious revival. We know that Asami has experience with blues and soul, and in connection with "Glory to the world" they mentioned having toured Western churches. I know of no other band that has ever done something like this.

Certainly a good song with strong feel good vibes. Of course, Lovebites don't have any bad songs. From the EP II however, I find the best songs are the ones without music videos. One one side, there is "Where's Identity" a in your face thrash metal song, and then there is my favourite, "The Bell in the Jail", A bit old style, galloping rythm and oveall great!

I love this EP. It contains 5 amazing songs, but I'll say my 4th and 5th favourite songs on the EP are the ones they made into music videos. Even if you choose to not react to the non-music video songs, you should definitley have a listen to them. Here's why: * "Where's Identity" is a heavy fast thrash song with hints of Megadeth. * "Bell in the Jail" contains probably their heaviest riff ever in the introduction, and gives me Pantera vibes. It also has a bell! * "Someone's Dream" had Fami going crazy with a bass solo.

It was meant to be light, of course, on an EP that gets progressively heavier. A song to get everyone jumping when a dose of energy is needed during a concert is not a bad idea! The same way EPICA have "Beyond the Matrix", which becomes one of the much expected audience highlights Live.

This song has pretty much everything - a seamless and innovative blend of AOR/heavy rock, speed-power metal, and a bit of thrash thrown in at the breakdown before the solos. For me, the chorus affords a blues/gospel vibe rather than a poppy one. And you're right, this track can be perceived as a 'sequel' to "Don't Bite the Dust" from their first EP "The Lovebites EP". "Unchained" is the opening track from their latest EP "Lovebites EP II" which contains 5 songs.

You nailed it! The album is called "EP II" and it was released on their anniversary of their very first EP called... "EP". And "Unchained" is a referrence to (or equivalent of) "Don't Bite the Dust" which was their first release from that album.

Great reaction. Unfortunately you are now obliged to react to the whole EP because the band went back to the drawing board to see what made the original “LOVEBITES EP” such a success. In that case there were four distinct songs, on “THE LOVEBITES EP II” there are 5. They are all vastly different. Well spotted with “Don’t Bite the Dust”, the similarities are deliberate because of the connection between the two EP’s as well as the style of song. Trust me there are 4 more great tracks to hear and many might say that they get progressively better than the last…I said “some” not “most”.
