Your second assumption was right: this is setting up a song (just one, not a series, per Stupe's comments on this short). Blake→Bleak; there are other pins and references you may catch upon rewatching. Their prior holiday songs are worth reactions, imho. There are two versions of "Lights on a Truck," the later of which has additional lines; Backrooms is a stand-alone piece; and then there's the 4-part series involving horror characters and villains which should be watched in order of release, as follows: "A Very Scary Christmas," "Another Horror Holiday," "The Freight Before Christmas," "And To All a Good Fright"
