Kirstie wrote this one, but she gave everybody in the group a chance to shine in this song! This was a live in the studio performance, but, while it debuted on Kelly Clarkson, they were not actually at Kelly Clarkson's TV studio when they recorded it. This is the same way they've been recording their appearances for TV shows since the pandemic started. It's slightly different from the full studio version, but PTXOfficial is now calling this the "official video" of the song, as has been the case for several of these "for TV" performance videos.

The popspring concert is an amazing live show with proper sound balance. They do several originals and their Michael Jackson medley. It is about 15 minutes long and totally worth it to see a live show. It was filmed during Avi’s days with the group. I think it is listed as Pentatonix popspring performance 2016.

This and Be My Eyes really show an emotional “growing up” from Water, and it’s a really fun journey to listen down the line from Water being the “infatuation” stage of romance to Be My Eyes and Love Me When I Don’t being so much more mature.

I’ve been with my husband since I was 20 (I’m 59 now). I’ve always been the one that was the “caretaker” in our relationship. Always taking care of everyone in our family. I got COVID in March, my husband really stepped up and took care of me. I never saw that side of him, I was so sick and was at my very worst and he was there for me. I’m so appreciative.

Man I've watched probably every reaction video you've done on pentatonix and this is the only one where you have mentioned Kirstin that I remember. And yea all of the guys do a tremendous job but kirstin is equally amazing on every song. You really can't go on here and say oh how this is an amazing group and only mention the male performers by name and how well they have done on their parts and not mention Kirstin in any except this one which the comment was like 3 seconds long. This young Latino woman sings her heart out just as much as the other guys do, which is what helps make this group so heavenly, it takes ALL of them to make them who they are.

Another excellent reaction. You're exactly right about the lyrics and relationships! Kirstin wrote this one so she takes more of a "lead" on it. Lyrically it's one of my favorites off the new album. Never Gonna Cry Again is my absolute favorite though. It's got a great message. Mitch wrote it so he takes the lead which of course is amazing. But even more amazing is Matt's bassline. It will truly blow your mind. They just released a 90s Dance Medley that is one of the absolute best things they have ever done. In my opinion it's even better than the Daft Punk Medley. I hope that you'll react to soon. It's a lot of fun and nostalgic. I'm sure that you'll love it!

I think you should check out their 'Silent Night' video. It's an earlier one, and it's just the five of them standing in a semicircle in a church with great acoustics, singing. It's the best version of Silent Night I've ever heard.

Really enjoyed this reaction! Glad you enjoyed it. One of my fav live performances from them is "La La Latch" from 2015 New Year's Eve performance. It's pre-Matt, so different make up of the group, but great live example. They just keep getting better and better.

One of many things I love about PTX is their diction. Every word is so clear and cleanly said. I know you've done Hallelujah but if you haven't done Amazing Grace, you should as it shows a clear development in how their voices have changed and become better over time. For something a 'wee' bit different, you should try Voctave with their Disney Princess medley, where if you're watching you'll see a much younger Kirsten assisting

This was live on Kelly Clarkson then they took the tape of the performance and did this switching of positions. This is a little different than the original that was released a few weeks ago. Scott really goes off at the end of this in a good way!

I have to agree that's so far this is my favorite Pentatonix Song. That would be followed by be my eyes which has a similar theme. In that when I can't see something when I'm not seeing clearly or the whole picture Then that person is there to help me see everything that I am missing. We tend to get tunnel vision and only see 1 small piece of the entire fabric and Whomever this person Is in my life they're able to show me the bigger picture. Great reaction

I like the little talk about relationships. A very wise friend of mine said that relationships being 50/50 is a happy goal but not a reality. Sometimes your significant other is going to be at a 20 because of health, or work stress, or family issues. At times like this you need to step up and be at 80 so you can help them through, knowing that when it's your turn to be down there they will step up to be strong. That's how lasting relationships work.

Check out Little Mix - another group where all the singers are amazing, they often do acoustic/acapella versions of songs too and have gorgeous harmonies. The Paper Penthouse video is a good place to start.
