Great job as always! If I had to guess, I would say the position of Primate was correct. The Primate is still a position in the officer line of the York Rite Sovereign College today, so there is some masonic connection to the name.

Thanks Lane! We will check it out! The program shows a prelate at that point. But maybe it’s the same. This may be a question for Art de Hoyos.

So do y’all worship baphomet or not? 🫣
@ScottishRiteMasons Жыл бұрын
No. Baphomet is a made up demon used by Phillip the Fair, infamous king of France, to vilify the Knights Templar. He owed them money for a failed war. He didn’t want to pay them. So he told the pope that the Templars were heretics who worshiped a demon called Baphomet. So baphomet was never a real deity or demon. Historically, there is no real connection between the Templars and the Masons. But in the mid 18th century, some Masonic orders styled themselves after the Templars. In the late 1800s a guy named Leo Taxil wrote a book alleging that the masons and Templars were the same and worshiped this Baphomet. But none of it is true or real. Just nonsense.
