My brother was there on job for nearly 10 years in Mangalore before retirement. I used to come there from Madras(Chennai). Mangalore people are religious, helpful. Roadside stealing is comparatively less in Mangalore. Safe city. I went to Udupi Temple also. Lot of Banking business and Banking people emerged from these two cities during early times.

I am a proud Mangalorean. Very well explained about Mangalore city in the video. People of Mangalore are basically talented & well educated. But MLA's MP's of this area failed to bring Govt. facilities like Govt. Medical Colleges & Govt. Engineering Colleges or any of Govt. Higher Educational Institutions to this city, except one NITK Surathkal. We the people of Mangalore depend on Govt. Colleges of other districts for higher Education, instead there is number of Private Colleges. Poor can not join these Colleges because of their heavy fees structure, there by missing Higher Education many a times. Hence poor remain poor & rich gets richer. There is no Govt. local bus service also. All these are available & controlled by the rich. Lot of improvement works to be taken up such as fly overs, road cross overs, road widening works, vehicle parking facilities in many places of the city. Publics are constructing their structures very close to the roads there by very poor vehicle parking facilities throughout the city limits. We do not know why the District Administration is allowing to construct structures very close to the roads. With these short comings the City is safe, rich in local culture, beaches, sea food hotels, train, air, bus facilities & port is also available in Mangalore. ❤
