I feel like Tess knew there was nothing else to do atm. If she tried to run/fight back, the infected would've attacked her and stopped her from blowing them up. By staying still, she gave herself the extra few seconds she needed.

I love Blind Wave, they have the best reactions and I love their personalities. My fave is watching their reactions to Game of Thrones (esp when Eric re-watched it from the beginning since Calvin hadn’t seen it yet but got caught up for the final season or two, watching Eric watching Calvin experience the red wedding was epic) as well as House of the Dragon and many other shows and some movies too. They’re a great channel, I believe they stream and play games on Twitch as well.

People calling it “ewww a kiss that’s cringe” don’t understand the point of that scene, she was already being affected by the fungi (you can see her hand twitching) and also scared to death due to the sheer amount of infected running in, it’s also a “kiss of death” like when a Dementor sucks the soul from you in Harry Potter.

I don't really agree with that. In the game of course she was bitten and she gave her life so Joel and Ellie could get away. That's literally as meaningful As It Gets. Not trying to downplay the show at all but still. Her death in the game was ridiculously meaningful

@@Alexanderthegreat159 In the game she was gun down by FEDRA agents and probably took 1 or 2 agents with her, Joel and Ellie still had to fight their way out of the capitol. In the show they make her a bigger badass that she already was, she took a huge horde by herself, making a bigger mark on the history that what she already had, given them time and distance to escape. But is just my opinion, nothing more

No mixed reactions on this episode. The essentials of both the game and the show were the same. Tess is bitten and then sacrifices herself to save Joel and Ellie. The ONLY difference is who she faced. In the game she faced FEDRA soldiers, in the show she faced infected. I (and from what I've gathered most others) feel the TV show death was more effective and heartwrenching. In many respects I'd have to say the show is better than the game so far... and I LOVE that game (I consider it and LoU2 the best story based games made so far, followed closely by the Uncharted series)

Apparently the idea is that this is the optimal way to further spread and speed up the fungus process. Fight back = bites and whatever else. Don't resist = embracing the plague. Disgusting, sure but scientifically possible....eh jury's still out.

I just feel like they're sh*ting another great videogame. I was so hyped for this but... (In my opinion) 1- Ellie is not a smart, sassy and brave girl but a disrespectful, annoying and dumb kid in this version. (And I am not even talking about the character looking) 2- Tess is not a badass like in the game but a fragile sentimental woman. 3- Sarah has a good acting, but the way she said phrases like the "drugs, i sell hardcore drugs" is like her was tired to say that in the series while in the game she was so vivid and excited. 4- they tried desperately to make this series be one of the only series that dont cr*p with the game but these changes are making exactly it. I dont know why is so hard to keep things like in the dam original version. They got the ppl who worked in the game to help, but probably they're just changing whatever they want even when isnt from the original cast's ideas. And of course I dont blame the actors for it, they're doing their job, and I can see that they are doing their best.

Ellie was like this in the beginning of the game it's when shit starts to get real and her and Joel have to work together that she becomes the badass that we all love it's only the second episode there is plenty time for that they have actually added alot of depth to the story with explaining the infection more and how it's all connected
