Plus, back on Cybertron, Megatron was originally a gladiator. This is why he doesn't ever back down from a fight, even when confronted by someone he fears like Predaking. Megatron would rather die fighting than to ever allow anyone to label him as a coward. In that regard he has a warped sense of honor (which is fitting, as his original goals were good, the problem is that over time they became warped as Megatron grew more jaded and cynical). It's for that same reason that his relationship with Optimus is so complex, as the two were once incredibly close friends with a great deal of respect for each other, respect that still remains intact for both of them despite them now being on opposing sides.

@@Phantom_373 To be fair, with continued exposure to Megatron, usual deception tactics, his insistence on keeping Starscream around (a BIG red flag for anyone as smart as Predaking, see above about Dreadwing)... then the risky proposition of 'should I keep that many beast soldiers around who will be THAT smart and powerful, trusting none of them are going to turn out like me and rebel.' Yeah, I think it's more a fundamental problem with the decepticons themselves, but this probably was Megatron's best course of action.

@@snvhill Also, a key thing that Megatron mentioned was how they lost a huge portion of their troops in the Vampire extermination, both normal decepticons and the entire insecticon hive! When he found out Predacons could gain sentience, he just couldn’t see his army had the strength and numbers needed for beating Predaking’s army if the project was ever complete. It’s funny how the Thirst episode is played for Gags, but it actually plays a huge part in Megatrons actions in the following episodes to come afterwards.

At 10:20 one of my favorite Megatron scenes in the series. He doesn’t even try to hide the fact that he wanted the Predacons gone. He straight up says hell yeah I did, and I’d do it again! He’s not scared of ANYONE.

I just love how Megatron doesn't make an excuse to Predaking finding out the truth and just fully owns up to it, like "Yeah I allowed your Brethren to be killed, Whatcha Gonna Do About It" as opposed to if it were Starscream who would be scrambling for an excuse

11:01-11:24, Even as a kid watching this live, I always felt that that the dialogue here was off. To this day I feel like it could have been saved had Megatron said something along the lines of, "That's the spirit, you have all the makings of a king, but what good is a king without his army?"

I also love that for these last few episodes there’s not really any human interaction. They did the human part very well on this show. While building up for the finale it wouldn’t make sense for the humans to have a big part in it, and I love it. That being said, the kids do have some badass stuff in the finale, and that was also very well done, and not overdone.

Megatron vs Predaking is a classic case of Self-Fulfilling Prophecy. When Megatron discovers that his battle beast Predaking is intelligent and capable of transformation, he has his Decepticons use the Autobots to destroy all Predacons that were being created to serve as his army, believing that Predaking might turn on against him. However, this ends up being the very thing that results in his betrayal; Predaking already swore loyalty to Megatron (like Skyquake and Dreadwing) and had no intention to betray him, and once Ratchet reveals that Megatron deliberately allowed the Autobots to destroy his Predacons, he goes on a Roaring Rampage of Revenge to destroy Megatron. Armen Mirzaian is a storyboard artist for the series,, having done "Orion Pax, Part 2", "Flying Mind", "Toxicity", "The Human Factor", "Inside Job", "Rebellion", "Thirst", "Synthesis", and "Predacons Rising".

@@ReactZones true 🙂while I do love the Michael bay films 😎I say transformers prime is the GOAT it has the action and it balances between being funny and being serious 😐I recommend you watch more of this series 🙂and react to it 🙂 however I will give credit to Michael Bay for making the robots more realistic and watching all the gears and sounds of the transformers 😎the TFP one just plays the same transformers sound when they transform and it can be old 😐but over all the story action sences character development 😐? 10/10 😎

this it the prelude to the final Battle against the cons it will be a great Battle even better then Megatron vs predaking this is it this was very tense now the final Battle begins for both earth and cybertron as fortune would have it the Autobots are moving first this time with everything they've got this time things will go different then went Optimus bet it all back in season because now the cons are in week state and this is there last stand the cons are now on equal footing with the bots in terms of numbers now things are getting interesting I wonder what is going to happen it will be a even greater Battle then the past 2 seasons because both sides are desperate to win so there at there most dangerous
