when browsing for books to read, i always look for book reviews. reading vlogs have become some of my absolute favorite videos to film so i had to try out weekly vlogging... (spoiler alert: i read 3 books- my TBR was happy with this one). booktube and tiktok have buzzed about these books… let’s see if i’ll enjoy them. the video has a book talk / book review portion as i read the books that is completely spoiler free, as well as live reactions. i hope you guys enjoy this one hour weekly reading vlog and come out with one more book to add to your TBR and some good book recommendations for 2024!

Definitely wear sunscreen even if Mel doesn't. One bad sunburn increases your chance of skin cancer pretty dramatically and even low level sun constant exposure without adequate protection increases your chance of skin cancer which is not something you want to mess with. Plus sunscreen helps keep your skin tone even by protecting against sunspots and sun damage that leads to different skin tones across your face.

My mom works in dermatology and says all you really need is a cleanser and sunscreen for the day and cleanser and moisturizer for the night. You can get fancy and use a retinoid or retinoid alternative at night but not necessary

Also, sending your family lots of love and prayers! 💜 My grandmother was really sick one year ago, and the doctors told us there was nothing they could do anymore - today, she is thriving and better than ever. It was a miracle for us, and I want to give you hope for your family that sometimes, these miracles can happen! But I also understand that this time has been hard for you - it will get better (not just saying this because that's what you are supposed to say but because from my own experience, it will eventually get better!)

I dont use SPF either (on my face at least) because my skin HATES it! I stay away from the sun as much as possible and if I'm outdoors or at the beach etc I will put it on my body, but 2 days in my skin will begin to react real badly to it. It's a bloody curse, I tell you. Thought I was alone in this, but I guess it does happen. I use the heimish balm and the same YFTP cleanser lol, how serendipitous 😊 On a different note, I am sorry to hear about your uncle, I wish him a speedy recovery and send you and the family good vibes. Mucho ánimo! ❤

Having a sick family member is horrible so please take the time you need and don't worry about not consistently updating us! You need to take care of your fam and more importantly yourself and your mental health! 💕

I've went through a similar thing with my skin too. For me everything I put on my face was causing me to break out, so now my skincare routine like yours is a cleanser, cleansing oil and moisturizer.

Oh dear, the symptons you have during your period is usually what I get a few days before (bloating, bathroom stuff, we know we know).
