It's wild to say Andrew filled in for Tilian completely fine. Bro sounded like a dying horse trying to sing the high notes. I think DGD will be able to continue, though I do find it hard to think it's conducive for Andrew to be the lead singer going forward without ditching majority of the Tilian stuff. Which happens to be almost all of their most popular songs. Anyways, one outrageous take deserves another... DGD should get a female frontlady. Should make it easier for someone to fill the Tilian hole, since his range is closer to a female range than a male one.

Yeah Andrew sounded like absolute shit trying to sing DGD songs. Definitely not going to continue listening to DGD with Andrew as lead vocalist. The band said it themselves…people change and part ways blah blah blah F Dance Gavin Dance they lost a fan here.

As a listener from the start as well it wasn't until Instant gratification that it felt like the band as a whole had clicked. Now granted that Tillian is possibly a shit person, he has been around so long and their best works (imo) were made with him that he IS the DGD vocalist to me.

I don't know if its him being a shit person as much as him growing colder with the band, they seemingly had issues in the recording process for the next album. My guess is the whole 'allegations' scenario proved the group wasn't as tight nit as they might've let on. After which, social media gave the image that Tilian seemed to be drawing closer to his girlfriend and further from the guys.

@@scale8125DGD is a “woke” band anyways…bunch of backstabbers in my opinion and their best music is now behind them. Andrew sucks for DGD and he can’t sing any of their songs that made them DGD in the first place. I’d like to say good luck to them but I’d rather say F off to them honestly.

That’s what I heard too that his live performances sucked and that’s why they parted ways with Kurt. Guess who else SUCKS at live performances and sings like a dying horse? Andrew of course.

@@NewAmericanRevolution that’s just not true. He’s a baritone vocalist and struggles with matching Tillian’s upper register but he absolutely NAILES Johnny and Kurt’s tracks. Plus the band has been shying away from playing older fan favourites because Tillian didn’t want to play those songs. I see this as a huge win for DGD fans and also look forward to Tillian’s future music separate from the band.

I’m really not a fan of their early albums. Kurt and Johnny have a small handful of songs I think that are decent. Neither of them would be able to sing Tillian’s parts well. DGD shot themselves in the foot by having Tillian as a vocalist for so long. Replacing him with someone that can do his vocals will be tough. I really hope they have try outs and go with someone new.

andrew (as well as saying he doesn’t wanna take the front man role) isn’t actually as good of a vocalist as you think, he does the kurt parts perfectly but the jonny part he’s constantly having to switch between two different keys and it doesn’t sound right at all. I would also want a new singer because it would be interesting to see how they develop

I hope they don't actually rehire Johnny Craig, especially since they did a diss track against him a while back. I'd much rather see a new face (personally I wanted Tilian to stay), but one who can pull off Tilians highs, given that it'll be a while before they've built up enough albums to effectively wash out more than 60% of their entire catalog for live setlists. Andrew is a fantastic vocalist but he can't consistently hit that register (though he can hit his own register like nobody's business), and his and JC's ranges arw to similar to be a good pairing, even if you ignore JC's general toxicity. Kurt is great and my favorite personality of the three (and despite what I'm about to say I do love his voice) but he is the least capable of the three for versatility and range, and has a bad habit of overdoing the studio version of his parts to the point that it becomes impossible to do live (too many lines with no room to breathe means that half the song doesn't get sung).

I think Andrew should be the clean vocalist. He did great filling in for Tilian on their 2022 tour, and a lot of people are saying that he has the grit to sing the Jonny Craig songs too.

I'm personally of the opinion that DGD should just keep the cancelled singers train going and either re-hire Jonny Craig, or partner up with Tyler Carter. Problematic lead vocalists are just the bands calling card at this point.
