Jesus is the cure for homophobia. Let Jesus resolve Adam's fall let him take our shame. Thus back in the presence of God

It is not about inclusion but God states what pleases God and that which doesn't. Those who love God can choose to live the lifestyle that pleases God.

I agree with you Campbell Bailey. God is pleased if we live our lives accordingly to our human nature. Gay people need to marry only gay people as this is their vocation to fulfil. Every time when a gay man marries a woman he is going against his nature and separates himself from God.

I always want to say 'Amen' to comments like this because I agree. Sadly, I can also see what is *not* being said

The bible doesn’t not condone slavery - it barely mentions it at all. Read the KJV. It makes mention of it twice (any variation).

The whole thing is about the Bible and supposedly what it says. She says that the bible supports slavery and rape but doesn't prove from the text that it actually says that and surely if God says it you must believe it.

False. Matthew 19:1-12 Christ is questioned about divorce and speaks on marriage in general. Note that he reaffirms Genesis limiting marriage being between male and female. This was a perfect opportunity to include same sex unions and he did not. Christ does indeed live all people and all his followers should love everyone. Love does not include deviating from YHWH's commandment simply because we find it difficult.

The reason he affirmed is to justify that no one shall divorce because male and female become one.. Do not deviate from the real intent of the scripture.. But what happened? People still divorce.. People still passed the law on divorce?! When you read the bible it was permitted and wrote by moses because of the hardheaded people.. But it was not written inspired by God. If there will be marriage between man and man and woman and woman just for the sake of legal rights?! And they are more committed to be together? Who do you think is more evil in Jesus sight? The divorced husband and wife. Or the two committed partner with love and respect to each other and other people?

Translation of this speech? "Let us reinterpret scripture to fit our ideology and desires as opposed to confirming our ideology to scripture".

Can you really claim that scripture wasn't originally interpreted and translated through the lens of an ideology?

No!!...let us truly honour scripture by understanding it BETTER in the context of culture and with accurate linguistic translations. If we do that,as erudite theologians such as Jim Brownson and Bart Ehrman do....we can legitimately say that the bible does not condemn homosexuality as a given orientation,in loving relationships.
@ddrse
@ddrse 5 жыл бұрын
No Paul isn't condemning anyone. Paul is speaking very specifically about the people who wanted Jesus crucified. some of them were gay and believed in the law!(Like many people today) They believed in their own damnation so that's the punishment they'll receive. When they rejected Jesus they chose shame! And they kept the law the way it was!

God is perfectly clear on His view of homosexuals. If you wish to sugar coat it or play peek-a-boo with His words, then it's at your eternal peril.It's not ok.It has never been ok.It will never be ok.

@@bounty8438 That’s a dumb lie that is easily refutable. While the English word “homosexual” didn’t enter our vocabulary until the mid ‘40s, the Bible clearly condemns the act from the start. Lying with mankind as with womankind. The Greek word “arsenkoites” denotes men in bed with men (not men with boys) God makes His thoughts clear on the matter. Satan muddies it up.

@@garkmr6200, lying with mankind as woman is referring to temple prostitution in Leviticus. Arsenokoiti refers to sexually abusing other men as a man. It also probably referred to the sexual abuse of slave boys. God makes himself very clear, he hates sexual abuse, rape, and non consenting sex.

Can someone show me passages in the bible where there is positive affirmation of homosexuality and I mean clearly not someone’s opinion.
@bounty8438
@bounty8438 3 жыл бұрын
@@claudiabailey5302, no because the Bible is written from a heteronormative perspective. Many of the translations were also done during a time when people were absolutely terrified of anyone who wasn’t “normal” so we just got thrown under the bus.
