Yeah, the sad truth is, Mary always heavily favored Sheldon (which most likely ended stunting his emotional growth) over her other kids and it is really disappointing and frustrating. Like, Mary babies Sheldon and doesn’t give scrap about her other kids. Honestly she only started paying attention to Georgie when he got Mandy pregnant, thus leaving Missy with literally no one. I honestly feel sorry for Missy, because it is clear she is very bright and gifted in more social and emotional aspects of life, but because she never got the attention or guidance that she really needed from her parents she did not really develop pass what we see in Big Bang Theory.

Emotional intelligence is not as important as your intelligence quotient, because social awareness is not going to apply the same as your IQ. For example, if your IQ is very low, no one is going to want to hire you because you're mentally incompetent, so you have no use to them. But if you have a high EQ, you're only going to have one use for that kind of intelligence, interacting well with other people. But I'm not saying EQ is not important. I'm saying you have to have a decent IQ to at least function in society.
